I cannot figure out what's so difficult about just following the rules.
Nothing really...
...except for the fact that those companies still charge upwards of $17 for a CD that is worth $5 at most, and keep most of that $17 for themselves
...except for the fact that those companies are approaching online music sellers like iTunes and asking them to increase the price of tracks to over $2
...except for the fact that those companies are greedy capitalist pigs that found a scapegoat in their customers and don't know when to stop.
They get more accidental clicks by flooding your mailbox than by being more selective. They do whatever it takes to stay profitable.
Someone else posted a while ago on/. that their morning routine is to go to a pay-per-clickthrough inclusion services like overture or looksmart or pick your own and do a search for "Mass Marketing" or "Mass email marketing" and click on the top 5 or 10 links and browse the sites a bit. Those SPAMmers are paying dearly to be placed at the top of the search results. The more people click, the more they'll pay, until they find that it's unprofitable to operate and shut down.
Just surround him and don't say anything. Don't let him leave.
I think you should verbally SPAM him while you do that... Below is a selection of subjects from my spam emailbox. Feel free to add your own:

Now that we know where Scott Richter's going to be - upcoming Email Technology Conference in San Francisco, we need action against that asshole that fills our emailboxes with spam.
1. Go to your local supermarket 2. Buy a can or two of SPAM or a cheaper generic substitute 3. Conceal the can in a bag or coat 4. Attend the conference and bring a digital camera with you. 5. Get a nice seat closer to the front 6. Wait until Richter is comfortable enough to let his guard down 7. Open can of spam and place the contents in your hand 8. Launch contents in your hand at Richter 9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you're out of SPAM 10. Take a picture or Richter covered with spam w/ a digital camera 11. Post it on/.
Oh yeah... 12. ???? 13. Profit!!!
You might need to do some more prep work as far as hurling SPAM at targets. Get a friend to help you, organize SPAM throwing practice sessions. Get all the participants to come with you to the debate.
Alternative plan 1. Go to your local sports store 2. Buy a baseball bat. 3. You know the rest...
Just wait until the big oil companies find out about this. The project is going to get lobbied to shut down so fast, it'll make their heads spin. What a shame...
Funny? NO!!! Insightful! Metric paper does make better airplanes... they are more balanced - at least the way I make them. American paper throws it all out of whack...
NT is no longer supported by MS. In fact, the Swedish navy probably saved on licensing.
Then again, they started the project back in the 90's when 2000 was still in development. They probably developed all their apps to run on NT (read 16-bit) and didn't want to port them to Win2K or Win2K3, or ran into some sort of backwards compatibility.
No one writes exploits for NT anymore. A fine example is the Sasser worm - it didn't affect NT systems, only Win2K or later.
They just don't want to get accidentally electrocuted from the metal wheel when the power comes back on... since everything else on that ship is probably non-conductive...
is the statement "...bulky items such as credit cards." seem a little odd?
If you're going to a bikini party, then credit cards become bulky, since they would probably be the same size as your whole outfit... Then again... you can always stick the credit card in between the two large hemispheres (the top ones of course), if you got 'em.
Most if not all the extra time you get to live (mind you, if any) is spent exercising. Heck, you might even live less when you subtract the exercising time, who knows *grin*
My health club recently installed individual 15" LCD screens on a whole bunch of treadmills and elliptical trainers... All have full cable access. Now, instead of sitting on the couch at home, I can watch Simpsons or Iron Chef and excersize while doing it. And if Simpsons isn't on, those screens are attached to a DVD/CD player, so I can bring a movie along. Makes my 30 min cardio session a breeze!
you are right, there is less rigid structure, but I guess in my mind, Baroque music is very mathematical... I can't explain why it feels that way, but it does.
Once you start loosening the structure, it becomes non-math... just like the original pentium, where 2+2=5 for very large values of 2:)
How about some Lizst or Rachmaninov or even Bartok?
because those are Romantic and Modern composers and Mozart was a Baroque composer.
Baroque = structure, math, set formulas, chord resolution (Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor), cuteness.
Romanticism = no math there, just a main theme, sometimes based on a folk tune, with variations, a peek inside the mind of someone in love or preoccupied with other thoughts, like Dvorzhak's New World Symphony, or Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto
Modern (in a classical sense) = mostly experimentation with dissonance (I'm thinking of Shostakovich), I usually compare it to schizophrenia = mostly crap, however some people will disagree.
Let's face it, Mozart was the Britney Spears of his period...
Not really... he didn't have the boob job and didn't lip sync, and was able to play blindfolded and give 5-hour concerts and compose a lot of music by the age of 34.
If it takes you 10 hours to do 8 hours of work, well, that's your fault.
8 hours of work according to whom???
If it takes you 10 hours to do 8 hours of work and you are a 1099 contractor, you bill for 10 hours, unless you have a previous agreement with your client that you will only bill for 8 hours. Don't sell yourself or your work short and get paid for the actual hours you work, not for the hours you think you should have worked.
OTOH, if you do 8 hours of work in 6 hours and bill for 8, then you're a consultant...:)
It may be 10,000 miles to space, but only the first 250 or so is what matters
So, according to the article, it would cost $250 to send a tonn of stuff to the space station.
Nothing really...

yes, but the mess that follows is much harder to clean if the contents of the can are extracted first.

:)
That's what the batteries / capacitors are for...
And if you live in St. Petersburg, Russia, it's far enough north for them to have white nights.
breathtaking hot grits sequence
I read it as
breathtaking hot girls sequence
Actually, a breathtaking hot girls (over 18) running in a 2-piece bikini or topless sequence would definitely save this movie....

That actually has some value to people w/ lactose intolerance.

you can't compare the LCD screen on the phone and a projector.
Phone: light passes through LCD and hits your retina
Projector: light passes through LCD, reflects from screen/wall, and hits your retina.

Not if you live somewhere where there is lots of rain or acid rain. That roof will rust in less than a year.
