    You can always try installing http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx (look for Alt-Tab Replacement).
    It gives you a preview before switching. Works pretty well. Cheers.

    I've been wondering, would a pulley system work in a GSO configuration?
    Whenever we wanted to lift 1 ton of weight, we'd actually pull down 1 ton (being kept in orbit), making it easier to lift. I guess. ?

    I still remember those Trespasser "screenshots" and trailers, and look it that one turned out.
    Still, for the hw at the time they actually did a good job! It was just too overhyped.

    Those guys were pretty high in the hierarchy, I'm sure they'd make sure they'd be...hmmm... invisible to the system.

    Well, to be fair, those in charge were the ones who changed everything. The cynic in me thinks the vested interest in turning everyone in scared sheep spoke higher.
    So, 9/11 shouldn't have changed everything, because nothing really changed. People have died, and life goes on.

    More than 40000 deaths per year in fatal traffic accidents should put things in perspective.

    Well, it's clear this makes no sense in a Vista context, it has nothing to do with WINE (not a virtualization solution), and of course supposes they change any licenses they need to in order to allow an easy virtualization solution in a Windows 7, 8, 9, whatever they'll like to call it.

    True, but OpenOffice would have gotten a chance of saving that document. For all intents and purposes it is a bit better than a BSOD.

    Nearly all of the greatest scientists in history, prior to the modern era when we decided religion was for "teh craziez," were deeply religious men, and in fact their religion was a bulwark in how they approached science.

    Either that or they just didn't want to get into any trouble, all with the inquisition, the witch burning, the being turned into an outcast, etc.
    In that kind of society, where is the advantage in that?...

    Good point. Maybe that's the whole issue. Before, ages ago, I'd go to the movies and returned home cursing myself for having paid for such a piece of crap. More often than not the trailers only made it worse, they have the only good scenes in the movie...
    Nowadays, if I can, well, "evaluate" a movie, I'll go see it in the cinema only if it's really good... :)
    On the other hand, I can't remember when I last went out for a movie, since I've noticed that a home-theatre beats the cinema experience in almost any way.

    I actually like to have variables names that tell me something about the kind of stuff they represent.
    Nothing wrong with having a class called... ColorMatchingPattern, and a variable called aColorMatchingPattern.
    The compiler doesn't complain, for it it's pretty much the same as having a class called CMP and a variable called c.
    I find it more readable for someone trying to get familiar with the code.
    On the other hand, macros can suck.

    More important than that, to most of us, is that it will make a huge difference in the suitability for home theatre applications.
