There is a project on sourceforge that I've been keepng an eye on who's goal is to create an opensource alternative|replacemant IE engine.
So far there is very basic support for BG(1|2), IWD(1|2) and very, very basic support for PST.
As yet the games are unplayable, but the progress seems to be pretty rapid considering there are only a couple of developers at the moment.
The best part is that its multiplatform and is compilable under linux.
Any spam solution should not require new email clients or servers...
Quite so, it should not be required but it should be a part of a multilayered and multidirectional solution.
Spam elimination should be treated in the same manor as security. A single method of securing (ie passwords and nothing else) a system is next to useless as if it is breached then there is no other protection.
Get ready to feel ripped off then as, IIRC, Peter Jackson has already said that 'The Scouring of the Shire' isn't in the final film.
You never know he may be bluffing but I doubt it:(
Ahh, but to be able to refute their claims and show SCO up to best effect you need to know as much about them as possible. Hence the vast downloading spree;)
And how exactly is making native ports less likely to happen a 'step in the right direction'?
A step in the right direction would be to email, or better yet, write to the game developers staing that you'd like them to release the game for linux. Most importantly of all if you ask for a game to be released natively be damned sure to go out and buy it if it is released!
Seeing as you are talking about pounds, I'll be assuming you really mean £1,500,000,000,000 (one point five billion pounds) and not the tiny sum of one thousand five hundred million pounds (£1,500,000,000) </pedant>
oh, oh, oh wasn't he in M*A*S*H ?

Heh let's see if we can get DMCA'd for using a soldering iron...
I'm gonna wait for Son of Freddy's next door neighbour Vs Son of Godzillas' mother-in-law that sounds even better

But would it have to transmit all the scores calculated? It'd seem more logical to only transmit the highest scoring move for the "work unit".
The GPL is a proprietry license in is it? Someone should tell this company company before they GPL their product!
Just remember to let the wookie win

*will* be invented, *will* be. Do get the tense right.
What's funnier is that www.microsoft.com is running Microsoft-IIS/6.0 on Linux
Not only has beneath a steel sky been released but Revolution are also helping the scummvm team to add support for broken sword 1 & 2.
IMO this is a great move as it makes some of the coasters sitting on the shelves of linux converts into much more useful items again.
Go Revolution
I'm gonna have to block that link before the company MD sees it and gets some ideas
*shudders*

Knowledge is power don't forget
nah, it's just a typical slashdotting ;)
Just remember stocks are like gravity...
...what goes up must come down!
and the higher it goes up the harder it'll come down.
pig? cat? hell I thought it was a turkey
Geez, you're obviously not an American then :)

It would be even nicer if there were a screensaver that could do what the 3D-browser does to the kernel source on any source archive.

And please, please, please make sure the controller is smaller than the console (unless the console is really *that* small).
