B) If you find someone reading SMS disatracting you shouldn't go to a cinema, there will be other people there you know, breathing, moving around in theri chairs.
C) Imagine only answering important calls and calling back the rest after the movie. Mobiles in bars or trains don't bother me, I'm not there to enjoy a show. You sound even more anti-social then me...
Why is it wrong to have you phone in vibration mode? Say you have a job where you always have to be reachable, but still want to enjoy a movie or play.
For some people mobiles mean freedom from sitting home where you can be called.
Sure, the "moral standards" started to fall right at the moment technology made P2P sharing possible by better networks, better compresion and faster CPU's.
Hyperlinks is about all you need for the web, everything else is an extra, and I could live without much of that (think blink). Some limited subset of XHTML might be a good idea for email, for everything else you have attachments.
Go is a no starter on the PSP. Multiplayer Go would be better served with the DS touchpad and a halfway good AI will suck the batteries dry -- computer Go is a CPU intensive problem.
I have come to the conclusion that I favor linear games (with or without branching) over open ended games. I do not want to wander around and do silly things, I want a clear goal and many methods for achiving it (NetHack), or an engrosing story that pulls you allong rather than leaves you hanging (All Roads).
It's called terrorism because the reason isn't to kill people, but to make them fear. But it seams that while people are all for it to make "war on terror", they don't want to fight their own fear.
Don't give the Star Wars nerds any bad ideas. ;-)

I don't know, I just set up OO.o on the home machine of one of the employes.
Well, I had to install OO.o for someone whose Office switched to linux and started sending OO.o files instead of Excel files.
Try editing an OO.o document in word.
He must be a time traveling robot then.

If you can make it to only block assholes I'm all for it.
I'm sorry but what problem do you have with people who do not have ringers on and do not talk on the phone?
I propose a low-tech solution. Warn people that they will be trown out if their mobile rings. Enforce.

Just because the Quake bot looks female and plays with you doesn not mean she's your girlfriend.

All the more reason to get them digital ASAP, even if the originals are destroyed in the process.
Too bad /. does not support BIG RED LETTERS, or you would get to know what I think about HTML email.

I was pointing out that "FBI stealing drives" would also be a conspiracy, he indeed posted a conspiracy theory.
