    Many times I have court myself typing the wrong homonym. Like won part of my brain is dictating phonetically to the dumb typist lobe.
    Nobody else does this? The odd thing is it is very obvious on proofreading, unlike a lot of other typo's that are easily mist.

    It is not a term used here - we call it mobile telephony and mobile phones (as do many other countries.)

    That is like complaining that CDs lack the hiss or distortion of tape or LPs. Why is yellow light a good thing, just because 100-year-old technology makes for yellow lamps?
    And fluorescent lamps do come in a choice of colour temperatures, not just natural daylight.

    This place has always attracted the conspiracy-minded. I think that there are more high-IQ people here than average, and high-IQ people like to find patterns. There is also a high correlation between paranoid schizophrenia and IQ.

    Clearly then, someone is systematically seeking out high-IQ people and deliberately infecting them with the schizophrenia virus, before they can discover the secret plan.

    He means the iPad5 prototype with RTG. Non-rechargeable, but runs for 10 years.
    The principal advantage is elimination of the charging socket, which spoils the smooth lines of earlier models.

    Have you looked at what teenagers are posting on Facebook? Picures of them drinking underage. Pics of them smoking a joint. Status messages about "my boyfriend dumped me, I'm going to kill myself". Should a teacher do something about that?

    Teachers are not vice police. But if girl is threatening suicide, it would hardly hurt for the teachers to be aware.
