I have definitely thwarted Warden. I just created a 13th level unicorn, ate all the remaining rhubarb in the forest, and killed the White Wizard with an AK-47. NICE!
Oh my, I just can't believe how irresponsible Creative is being. This is the second time that they have shipped 3700 of these players with this exact same virus in less than a week!
This is not easy. I'm stressing out over here. I simply can't find a good angle to troll at this from. I could do a play off of "probe", perhaps. Or something about deposits. But they're both weak.
So the leather tank top with the see-through nipple windows is an no-no?
Might as well not offer it at all

This is frustrating. The whole benefit of bundling something with the console is that game developers can count on it being there. They can therefore program extra functionality and know that it will be supported. If Sony isn't including a hard drive, this will cause many developers to scale back this extra functionality.
After a certain threshold, the capacity of the next generation DVD standard ceases to matter as much as cost, ease of use, and compatibility. So Sony/Toshiba... please step up and convince me of these issues instead of throwing capacity numbers around!
My application. Well, I have a very complicated system of... er... ok, it's pretty much just for fun.
I've always been enthralled by invisible forces and my ultimate goal is to build some sort of small scale levitation device. But first, I want to just get a bunch of different shapes and see how they react to eachother.
Just sent them an email. My fingers are crossed. Just one further question... why do you recommend the spherical ones? I would think they would have less of a "pull" given that you can't get as much surface area against a flat metal surface.
Funny you should mention neodymium magnets. I've been searching long and hard for somewhere to buy some. I finally found kjmagnetics but unfortunately they do not ship to Canada. I cannot find any Canadian sources. What I need is an American who I can pay to order and ship me the darned things (for full in-advance compensation of course).
The bit that gives it away is that they signed a "multiyear deal" with Tiger Woods for a simple revision that will be replaced with another revision in far less time than multiple years.
Sometimes I think it would be great to have optical storage last forever. But then I think about my grandchildren going through my CDs years from now and stumbling on all my porn. Hmm... not good.
I can't help but say that the confusion and conflicting messages of the last week has made Sony look rather unprofessional. They knew they were shipping a handheld that used an LCD screen. Everyone knows LCD screens have these issues. They should have figured out their policy BEFORE they launched, not bumble around for a week and then come to the plate.
What is rather sad is that these kids have very few prospects for their future. The end of the article explains how, because of their undocumented status, they can only attend University or College as out-of-state students. This drastically increases the cost.
Yes, I know they are illegal immigrants. But, they are still kids with hopes and dreams.
Current users of OSS are constantly bemoaning the lack of wide adoption but also have their personal identity and self-esteem heavily reliant on the elitism associated with the communities surrounding OSS. The natural urge is to bar membership to this community to perpetuate the elitism, greatly harming new user adoption.
It was time for me to upgrade my home machine a few months ago so I decided to go the extra mile and reduce the noise. It was much easier than I thought to get something far more quiet than a stock machine. The key is to carefully evaluate each component you are planning on including. Go to the manufacturers websites and look for a decibel rating. It is much easier to silence a machine if the parts you select are already some of the quietest in their class. Often, several products (for example, hard drives) in same price range will have wildly different noise ratings.
When I first plugged in my new machine I was impressed by the sound but not blown away. A few weeks later I plugged in my old machine and my mouth literally dropped open at how loud it was.
Calling this an internet addiction is far too reductionnist.
Sure, he could have been an alcoholic or a workaholic... but he wasn't. He was addicted to Everquest. The fact that he had the potential for other addictions does not make his very obvious Everquest addiction any less real. Let's call a spade a spade here.
Dude, I wish I was. Truth be told, the guy had some serious personality issues that I think the Internet/Everquest amplified. I can't really blame the technology here.
He hated himself to the point of not even believing me when I told him someone called for him. So, the chance to be someone else was just too appealing, I suppose.
There were other things... his family where millionaires but he insisted on shoplifting to "test his skills". He also ate corn on the cob uncooked and unhusked... nasty.

We've all been complaining for years on the lack of Microchannel bus support... here's our chance to get some code!!!
"love rod"? "slip 'n' slide"? You are totally a virgin yourself, aren't you?
If by "futuristic" you mean "horribly dated", then yes.
There have been no official confirmation of something being chosen, however. Personally, I think they'll go with "The Sony Raper".

Thanks so much! Lee Valley is based here in Ottawa, where I live. In fact, I can walk to one from my house! I never thought to look.

Please don't use the word "paradigm shift". It could cause another .com implosion.
And I guess you are going to tell me that fairies don't exist next, right? Wake up and smell the coffee, my friend.
Ya ya... I should lighten up, I know.
Oh my god, this is SOOO redundant! Read the comment above yours! :
