How much of it is user generated content that's copied from one site onto a zillion others?
Or onto the same site. It amazes me at the number of YouTube videos which people rip then upload back to YouTube as their own. I like to think of this need to be the person who provides the video as "Insufficient Attention Disorder".
Both the persistent connection and the handshake protocol to establish a new connection are completely secure for any practical purpose. If both the server and the client are completely secure, and the connection between them is secure (via strong crypto in ssh) then pick whichever method works best for you.
What, spreading the word that your service is free by telling people you plan to charge for it?
I think the key thing there is "considering" charging for it. A week later, Sony can release a statement that it has been considered and that the idea has been thoroughly rejected. Throw in some marketing verbiage about the PSN advantages, and Bob's your uncle.
Given that most of Schiavo's "supporters" think awareness is caused by souls rather than brains, I don't think facts about her condition are going to have much influence on their views.
I wouldn't be so sure... many of her supporters seemed fully aware, yet lacked any brains whatsoever.
You assume I'm referring to Dune. I don't recall the title, but the first chapter was so unreadable because of all the random terms that I gave up in disgust. Perhaps Dune is written better... I never bothered to find out.
That's a really good question. Leather jackets are very common. I would think someone has thought of this before. Live skin and dead skin are substantially different.
Indeed... but the one thing I always notice on these "naked scans" is that peoples' belts still show up. So it may have to be full-grain leather underwear then.:)
Few people know the real story behind this, which is quickly being covered up. The sea-based X-band radar failed because it stopped mid-test to install a Windows update. As all available bandwidth was consumed by the critical IE6 patch, the message "Please wait while Windows installs your updates. You will be able to resume your hostilities at the conclusion of this operation."
As for ".Net" I do not trust it either. The creator of this language does not want the Internet to become what it can become, because it will damage their core business. [...] You wanted the truth, here is the truth.
.NET is a runtime environment, not a language. Examples of languages that run within the.NET environment are Assembly, C, C++, Haskell, Lisp, Perl, Python, Scala, and many many others. Speaking of the truth, you might want to do your homework before claiming you know it.
I guess Mom's basement goes really deep underground for this guy. Perfect technology for nerds everywhere! Why risk your pasty white skin getting outdoors to text?
If that's your credit card deal, you're getting royally screwed. As a consumer, when I buy a $5 item on my credit card, I pay $5. The merchant I'm buying from pays a per-transaction fixed fee plus a percentage. The only time I pay more than the price of the item(s) purchased is if I don't pay off the balance.

... one cupola?
A European brick. African bricks are non-migratory and don't do well in temperate zones.
Then what's the thing that balances my checkbook and snorts all my coke?!
That's a Roomba.
Observe trials from uphill side of road.
No kidding. If ever a story deserved a "whatcouldpossiblygowrong" tag...
Seriously, that company needs to change its name. I can't read that name without thinking of that weird saddle/vibrator thing.
Their new product name: "Nervous Unicorn with Parkinson's".

It's not so simple as vegetative > coma > dead. Patients can come out of a coma without being vegetative.
Indeed. Some people have been known to sublimate from coma to fully awake, bypassing the vegetative state altogether.

Your argument is invalid, sir.

This sums up Herbert's writing for me: http://xkcd.com/483/
Step 2: Simulate removal. I'd like to understand this more. Can you elaborate, perhaps with an example?
Are they lyers and fradusters?
Hey, did you see that Jim Carrey movie "Lyer, Lyer"? I think it's about some guy who makes soap.

Wear leather underwear. Backscatter doesn't penetrate skin? Try penetrating this cow skin!
Fine then. Licensing restrictions can go and get fucked.
So what you're saying is that you'd like to violate a few licensing restrictions?
Theories are nice, concrete proof is nicer.
That's concrete proof of why it doesn't look like a Google server? You're answering an unasked question.

The revival is here. It is called NESdev.
Sounds interesting, but developing for the Nintendo Entertainment System is a bit outdated, don't you think? :)

They said the same thing about the abacus.
If you mean that the $5 price already includes the cost of doing business (credit card transaction fees, rent, lighting, heating, etc.) then I agree.
