I cant wait for the first tv that comes out that will disregard all these annoying little things that the mpaa is trying to use to "protect" their IP. They will make a killing, it'll probably be a chinese manufacturer come to think of it.
Online Advertisements revenues are down big time. It's all fine and good if you have a little website offering free content and footing the bill maybe 20-30 a month. But once that site hits critical mass and starts getting a major amount of hits. It can start getting expensive. Do you expect someone to start footing the bills of 100+ monthly so you can continue getting your free content?
They're not trying to shield anyone if anything its their bottom line, money. All it takes is a parent group to decide to boycott and its all over news the bad press isn't worth it.

from spam once they saw bunch of misspelt words that would turn them off. I know If I was about to buy something off a website and I saw a ton of misspelt words it set off red flags in my head.

It's more like a software company banning full versions of games being sent to gaming magazines for reviews bewause someone made that full version game available to the masses for free.
