    There is a lot of polish slashdotters. The problem is, that almost all of us read about polish achievements in the field of european patent policy on slashdot. Mainstream media in Poland are silent on this topic. There is only one polish website (http://www.vagla.pl/) which is really up-to-date. Free software movement in Poland is strong in the field of programming, but not in overall policy. Most people just don't know what's really going on.

    I need an easy way for reading already existing .sxw documents. It's a default format of OOo - and people use it. If you work on-the-move, on other people's computers, you don't want to install full OOo everywhere. Small reader which i can download quick even on modem connection or take on my pen-drive is much better than reformatting every single document i deal with.

    I played with 7650 which is real Symbian model and it's much better than 5510. Probably you will like also 6800 or 6810 ("coming soon") which feature full qwerty keyboard, and are much better programmed. Of course you are right pointing all the weak points of 5510, but keep in mind, that it's a low-end model (if hardware is not a problem anymore, it's software what makes a difference). Also it was released some time ago, and will not give you all the features you may expect today.

    Duncan Booth [1] has a Nethack port for Psion mobile machines. Since Nokia 7650 [2] and SonyEricsson P800 [3] are also built on the same Symbian OS [4] which is running Psion series 5 or 7, it's possible to port it. However nobody did it .

    P800 is nothing else than Psion computer married with gsm. It uses Symbian OS, which is different name for Psion OS. Working versions of SSH for Psion were published years ago, so adopting them into P800 or Nokia 7650 was a matter of time.

    BTW with existing port of Nethack for Psion5 (http://dales.rmplc.co.uk/Duncan/Nethack.htm) porting it to P800 itself shouldn't be hard.

    I must agree. Skilled linux profesional after several hours of work installed debian with vm on my old pentium 100, with 1gb disc space avalaible. That was horrible in use (comparing to my mandrake/kde desktop) and slow.
    Wind 95 was definitly better. Lot of programs (check your old magazines with free cd), games etc.
    In this case one thing is particularly important - we got much more educational software for win95.

    Fred (old zx spectrum game) was a disaster for my primary school, Warcraft was a disaster for my secondary school, and ...errrr ...girls were disaster for my high school.
    Now i'm 28, employed, married with children, and i just started ruining my life with Nethack. I installed it on all three computers i use (GNU/Linux, Windowz and Psion 5) and have pretty much troubles because of it.
    Most surprisingly lack of graphic is best in this game. Playing any other game i know results in headake, with random game-screenshots displayed when closing eyes. You know, all they operate on tilsets, which are repeatedly and continuesly attacking our brains. Worse than cocaine.
    Nethack is almost (almost) free of this effect.
    And this is the only game, which makes you screaming just because you saw letter "D"...
