I always liked this one that my calc teacher says he saw once on a students paper
Sin x / n = 6
The logic of this was that the n on the bottom cancelled out the n on the top so the result was Six. Oh well I laughed when I was shown it.
Of course the US and Australia both share the same primary language
which results in far more US traffic than South Korea. Add in the
people per capita, Telstra and South
Korea's pro broadband government and that explains bandwidth costs in
Australia.
Of course the price of bandwidth has resulted in a lot of peering exchanges meaning that
while I can only download 8 gig of "premium" data a month on my 512
account, my ISP lets me download from
itself and other peered ISP's in my state for free.
Good idea, the ISP should provision enough bandwidth for every user to be able to download at full speed at the same time. Just don't complain when no one can afford this new guaranteed service.
The closure of Slashdot in a protest against patients has resulted in a huge boost of productivity in the IT industry as IT workers have nothing better to do than work. The government is now looking at more ways to get slashdot closed down.

Would you prefer they did real testing in some poor countries backyard like another nuclear power?
That was the military not specifically the government, though I guess it's easy to mistake the military and the government these days...
