    The only problem with that is that you have to deal with TigerDirect's cut-rate shipping service. I have bought exactly three things from TigerDirect in the last 15 years. EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. of the items I bought arrived damaged and looking like it had been used as a pinata at a party for Ultimate Fighters.

    Consider yourself lucky. They shipped me an empty box once! Luckly, all it took was a call and they sent a non-empty box the next time. I was expecting it to be a hassle (how do I prove the box was empty?), but the guy I spoke to simply took me for my word. Maybe it happens more ofter than I think.

    Forgive my ignorance here but don't we already have this?

    Your confusion is that Kola was a lot deeper but was only about 1/3 of the way thru the crust, this is drilling thru a very thin area of the crust.

    Traditional drilling methods don't work so they gave up on Kola.

    Yeah. Ocean crust is a lot thinner than continental crust. And if I remember correctly, Kola is in a mountainous area where the continental crust is thicker.

    Because The Core is a fun, silly movie meant to be enjoyed with your brain in the off position.

    I particularly liked the part when they got stuck in a giant geode. The only way it could have been better would have been if there were dinosaurs in the geode.

    Wait, so there are only a couple ways that these could both be claimed: 1. Someone is lying 2. Our gov't is actually dumb enough to not classify & secure systems used by the military for nuclear commands 3. Someone is lying I'm guessing it's either 1 or 3.

    No. See it's easy. Only the insecure, classified computer systems were affected!

    Try Apple Maps. It'll automatically go to Mars.

    Does it even have to be a fluid? What about a flow of fine particles, or something like a pyroclastic flow?

    True to a point, but these generally flow for a lesser distance and result in more angular particles.

    Don't think it really matters to MS. If a family is going to buy a PC, what difference is it to MS whether it's Windows 7 or Windows 8.

    You're missing the point. Why publish a book with no photos? What is the fucking point?

    Most books I have contain words to be read. In this case they are probably refering the the color composition of the white rectangles.

    Bacon also costs various amounts depending on what part of the world you are in. In Panama, it was double what we pay in Canada.

    So good it was banned by two religions.

    When I was in India we used to go to TGIF on Fridays to have a hamburger topped with bacon bits to offend as many religions as we could. Beef for the Hindu, Bacon for the Muslims, and meet on Friday for the Christians (or is that only Catholic?)

    My iphone4 fell out of an ultralight onto a construction site where it was run over by a steamroller and it was fine, but a cotton-wool ball touched up against my samsung and the screen shattered.

    Well, I'm glad the steamroller was fine!
