I have been a very happy XM subscriber since DEC 2001, and everything was great until three months ago when my receiver decided to crap out. Stupid Best Buy service, it takes forever to get anything back, still has it (2+ months) and doesn't know when it will be fixed. The only thing keeping me sane is the fact that I rigged my ipod up to work in my car.
I was just saying it seems kind of funny that members of congress can vote to enrich themselves, like when they vote themsleves a raise for a previous term of congress, that they happened to be in. Voting for your interest is one thing, but creating a new law for you own benefit seems wrong.
Orrin Hatch writes commercial jingles in his free time, so he has a vested interest in copyright protection. Which seems kind of like a conflict of interest to me.
Why bother taxing companies in the first place. They just pass their taxes on to the consumer by incorporating the tax in their prices. A company is not going to lower profits because their taxes are increased. They will just raise prices.
50 million people think abortion is wrong. You'd think that judges would go ahead and ban that too as being popular. Oh wait that is a totally specious argument, and while I think the ruling was totally off base, saying that a judge should rule some way just because 50 million people think its a good idea is just silly. Attack the ruling on its first amendment issues and not popularity.
You should see The Cube. The whole thing was filmed with two set peices. One full cube and one cube with 1 or 2 missing sides. Plus the movie has a good plot too.
That doesn't disagree with what I said. The parent claimed 60% of the US is working poor. I disagree with that. Furthermore if your not working how can you be working poor? I also didn't see anything about working poor numbers on the CIA world fact book. If you are talking about 11.3% (Bureau of Labor) under the poverty line vs. 12.7 (CIA) that is fairly insignificant.
Where the hell did you get 60% working poor?
accorrding to 2000 stats
Bureau of Labor there are only 6.4 million working poor.
However I do agree about letting the **AA Try to sue everyone. Bring it on.
If the writing is anything like the first few paragraphs then no thanks. Look at me I write about video games and use big words, but I should really be writing about music because that's my true love. But I'm an asshat who can't write well about it so I'll just write about video games instead. I'm so important I have something to say blah blah blah
What are they going to do take a page from the RIAA's playbook and sue every single individual user for non-compliance? Good look. I hope they have a lot more legal resources than the RIAA. Not to mention the fact that they don't have handy IP address to catch people with.
McGrath tells us how the translation was accomplished organizationally before examining some of the nuances of the translation itself. Some of the language in the King James was archaic even when it was published; translators had been instructed to lift from previous translations all the way back to the partial translation of William Tynsdale published 90 years earlier, and this at a time when the English language was going through the huge changes of the Elizabethan era.
Man, am I beginning to be annoyed, by all of the technically illiterate congress members, whose shortsightedness knows no bounds. I bet they scream bloody murder the day one their computer goes down, because a campaign volunteer downloaded an mp3.
This just chaps my hide. Why do people have to be such fuckwads. If you have a idea that you want to market then by all means patent it, but to patent it and have someone else all the legwork is just not cool.

(1) Possession, development, distribution or use of any "communication device" in
connection with a communication service without the express authorization of the service provider.
So do this mean that I have to tell them how many telephones I have?

Ok, abortion was a bad choice, but my main point was attacking judicial rulings on popularity isn't a good idea.

what about this sentence:
