Yes, A citizen of the EU can work in any other EU member state. You do have to go through some paperwork to make sure that all your social security taxes are handled properly, but you will never be denied a job by the state.
Now, for immigration from outside the EU, things are more heterogeneous. Some countries' policies regarding illegal immigration are so lax that you might be better off being an immigrant than being a national. Others are much more strict.
It's an argument, but one that seems to go against hard line monotheism. There are relatively few things that most people worldwide feel guilt and remorse for. I've seen devout christians do things that seemed to be perfectly fine with them, but that I find immoral.
Given that not everyone has the same, or even a similar moral compass, it is either not given to all of us by the same god, or it doesn't start from a god at all.
They got into the country with F1 visas, which are awarded for 2-6 years at a time. They are easy to get if you come from a western country, and chances are anyone with an F1 will need a drivers license anyway.
So all you'd get by asking for Visas is to make sure more illegal immigrants don't even try to pass the test.
The demand switched to the Wii because they were available? Are you living in the same planet as the rest of us? The Wiis are sold out within hours. Before Christmas, few people were able to get a Wii without waiting in line!
You can blame the extra demand on a lower price, Wii Sports, or maybe even claiming that it's the better product overall, but better availability is just ludicrous.
In most of the midwest, over 80% of the large states were created at least a couple of generations ago. That's why it's so hard to get funding around here: People that have inherited their fortunes are more risk averse than those that actually made the money, so they tend to be uninterested in putting money into startups. Every entrepeneuring teacher could tell you that.
The fact is, your average kids status has a pretty high correlation to their parents and grandparents. Much more so than it was in the 80s. In some european countries, the trends are even more steep, mainly due to the strength of traditional investments and the changes in the way large estates are getting taxed.
Go read on properly sampled statistics, as opposed to relying on personal experience when dealing with national and global affairs. Start by searching "intergenerational social mobility".
Unfortunately such a system can be 'gamed', like many board game players can tell you.
If you know someone really wants option X, but you don't care either way, you can bid against option X, hoping that person will outbid you. Then you'll get money while eating at a place you liked anyway. It's really not much different from pumping the value of your buddy's item on ebay, or proper playing on 'Princes of Florence'
Then you'd like to hear that for the next 15 hours or so you'll only see 2 more mandatory minigames, the hardest one being so similar to the normal controls that you should have few issues going forward.
Oh, and 9 hours in you've not even gotten to the cool stuff yet. The game does get better as it goes along. You'll get completely new items too. IMO the 6th dungeon is the best in the entire Zelda series.
The thing is, people in Europe that have managed to get a Wii before the street date claim that the remotes come with a sturdier strap, about twice as wide as the American one, so UK gamers will have little to worry about.
Sure, you save a lot of money if you use your phone 1-2 hours a day, but there's people that don't. Let's say you use a phone 3 hours a month. Most plans out there start at $30. $10 an hour is not what I call tremendous cost savings.
European operators have cheap prepaid rates that are better fitted to the light phone user. Go find something like that in the US.
Since the wiimote doesn't try determine the size of your screen at all, just increasing the sensitivity would be enough to make a painting game as precise as they want.
Almost every game menu uses the remote as a pointer anyway, so the resolution is definitely there.
There are genres that are all but forgotten in modern consoles. When was the last time a major publisher released a turn based wargame? What about a deep, thematic strategy game, like X-Com, or Rocket Ranger? Is there any PS2 castlevania that plays like Symphony of the Night? A modern japanese RPG that beats Xenogears and Chrono Trigger? An economic simulation like Capitalism II?
Abandonware and download services are popular because you can easily pick and choose the best games of the era, and play sure-fire, top quality games that stood the test of time.
How can it 'look' refurbished when it's been out less than two weeks? Given that they opened the box up to do the firmware update before they sent it to you, there are very few pieces of evidence that could identify a refurbished system vs a new one that was plugged in once to install an update.
I've had no problem with it. That said, the game is not great. Do you have a reflective surface in the room? I've heard reports of issues just like yours from people with glass coffee tables and such.
It's pretty easy: Early Playstations, PS2s and PSPs had issues. Early 360s had issues. Nintendo's manufacturing record is pretty much spotless, barring some cracked hinges in some DS lites.
Nintendo just doesn't release hardware that isn't ready for release.
Armies did win such wars before. There was plenty of guerrilla action in some parts of Spain in the Civil War. How did Franco win? Anyone that was even suspected to be a communist got shot. Your neighbors were asked about your political affiliation, and just a mere accusation was enough to get shot. The other side did pretty much the same thing, but they were less successful overall, probably because there was also a regular war going on.
It's not impossible to win a war like that: it's just that the only way that we know how to win it is considered morally unacceptable, since it involves killing civilians for their religious or political views.
That might have something to do with how their congressmen are NOT elected individually by district. Most European countries select a party instead of a candidate, and the congressman is selected from the party's election list, using some kind of algorithm, like the D'Hondt method
If congressmen were elected the same way as they are in the US, most of Europe would have a two party system like the one in the US, or at least one with only 2 major parties and some regionalist parties that can win in their state.
Canal Zone is where it's at. Pretty much every role was useful. Nothing more fun than seeing a team full of snipers, switch to scout, and destroy them with the wimpy nailgun and stun grenades.
The ownage was so bad that some regular snipers changed jobs immediately when I got into the server:)
Well, as long as outsourcing is cheap, one could make the case that H1Bs help the American middle class. H1Bs drain foreign countries from talent, and move it to the US, where they have to compete in more equal terms with Americans. Also, they pay taxes that, unless they are naturalized, will probably never get the rewards from. And if they managed to get naturalized, they become as American as you are... except for being able to run for presidency.
If you want to help the American middle class, fight the outsourcers. That H1B in the next cube is helping your team be more competitive than the big outsourcing company in India, Bulgaria or Brazil.
Am I the only one getting all kinds of bugs in the new release?
The search engine box starts blank, and the 'get more search engines' link does nothing.
Right clicking and selecting 'new tab' opens a blank tag that doesn't react to the location bar at all, and refuses to close by clicking on its button, right click + close, or hitting 'close all other tabs'
It lost every single one of my bookmarks, even though it kept most extensions intact.
I don't want to sound like a troll, but is this really the quality we want in a new release?
Could someone remind this rabid Resident Evil fan that Resident Evil 4 is out for Gamecube and PS2 already?
Resident Evil fan indeed.

Actually, the 360 guitar looks a lot like a Gibson Explorer
You must live in the Bay Area.

A little bird told me that Super Mario Bros is coming out on Christmas day.

I ended up making it work properly after wiping out 1.5.
It seems that the update process left some monkeys hanging around.
