The assumption being that men are scientists? The question makes it seem that women's magazines are the sources of astrology influences, implying it is the women who are possible believers in astrology.

So then it's implying that the "scientists" are men?

And we wonder why girls don't want to major in Physics.

Computer Science is the science behind software and computer technology. It's not really meant to be practical to most of what goes on in the professional realm. If you're not meaning to do research or interesting things like AI, creating computer languages, and the like, then, yes, it's the wrong program.

I wouldn't worry, though, as most everyone else is going to be coming from this "wrong" program as well.

    I must nit-pick:
Protected AAC files are encrypted. AAC on its own is not encrypted, you just need to get a license from Dolby to use it.
I bring this up only because many people (not intelligent slash-dotters, of course) seem to think that all AAC files are encrypted and only Apple-blessing allows you to read them. That's only true for iTMS files.

  13. Whoops on A Six-Step Plan for Apple · · Score: 1

Sadly, he probably pissed off Steve in the first step, due to his oversimplification. The Mac is not just about style, Apple just happens to be one of the few companies that actually put a real effort into design. The Mac is all about being an extremely well designed integrated system - both in software and hardware. iLife is easily worth $300, included with every single Mac, not to mention the amazing OS X, which is easily worth $200. It's just really really hard to convince folks that there is that much difference between an eMac and a sh*tty $700 Dell with XP Home, MS Works, and an analog LCD.
Apple has never really been comfortable selling piece-by-piece, and to actually undercut in the way Salkever recommends would require them to do so. Personally, I'd love to see how well a flat panel eMac with a combo drive, no iLife, and a $700 price tag would do.
    Can they make it happen?
