I hadn't read Wired for many years. I recently "inherited" a subscription from a departed co-worker. The magazine has become a total entertainment rag. I spend less time on an issue of Wired than I do on an issue of Information Week (and it comes out 4 times as often!).
While it's a step in the right direction, if you want to call somebody on a landline, you still have to pay for the SkypeOut, yes?
It seems like a lot of trouble for little savings. I guess my perspective would be different if I was a very mobile person who needed to make frequent out-of-country calls (more common in Europe, yes, I know).
I saw the sig you reference from Broke Mirror for the first time on a posting about Google Video. Which gave me some pause. I then looked at the posting history. When I saw that some posts with the sig predated networkmirror, I assumed (incorrectly) that Broke Mirror had changed the sig at a later point in time.
It's clear there'll be no convincing you otherwise, and to be honest, I don't even know why I'm bothering (other than its a slow afternoon at the office). This is the last posting I'll make on this subject.
We only mirror the actual content pages, not stuff linked off them. So, if you want to see the full-size pics, you'll have to wait for the slashdotting to subside. Sorry.
The system, which sells for $149.95 on the Ergodex site, started shipping in March. It will soon be available through resellers such as online retail gear seller ThinkGeek and game PC maker Falcon Northwest.
WHat a coincidence, you'll be able to buy it at ThinkGeek.
The MIT team was able to view these superfluid vortices at extremely cold temperatures, when the fermionic gas was cooled to about 50 billionths of a degree Kelvin, very close to absolute zero (-273 degrees C or -459 degrees F)
about the OS, but for deaf/blind people, the hw platform should be a pinball machine.
I was told the 1700 failed so they upgraded.
of the closet with the Cisco 2502!
Oh yeah, that's right, I forget. I signed up for the UDP-only connection. Sheesh.
I get a CRC error when I try to unpack the .exe
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know. IT'S BEEEEEETAAAAA.
Google should change their logo to put that little Beta under the 'le'.

If I'm going to go for overkill, I'm going all the way.

Because I believes I did.
Or to be more correct, I believe I arrived at it independently.
Who invented the integrated circuit? Shockley or Kilby?
Is it that difficult for you to grasp that two people could independently arrive at the same twist of "In case of fire, break glass?"
Those who can, do. Those who can't whine and complain on Slashdot about those who can.
maybe more than $100, maybe not. Depends on whether or not you have a free machine. Doesn't have to be fast or have a lot of memory.
The site was beta tested from another domain prior to securing networkmirror.com.
But do feel free to keep looking for consiracies where none exist.
Dude. Get your facts straight. When you change your sig. I changes all of your posts, past and present.
As the FAQ on the site says, the ads don't even cover the cost of hosting.
Personal (computer) lubricant

Cool!
All I can say is some people have a lot more free time on their hands than I do.

Wow. The Minister of Modernization is taking Norway back to the 20th century.
Only AC's get the "type this" challenge

Why would the (lack of) avilability of a media player influence my OS decision?
The author only mentions his mother in the review.
