    This is nonsense.
    His probable reaction should be to photoshop all of the photos to put her in sweatpants and sweatshirts, add about 100 pounds to her weight, then release them as proof he's destroyed the original.

    Ever driven by a big glass building that's blindingly bright at the end of the day? That's how. but it's panels instead of windows.
    Or, perhaps, maybe the locals are rural and happen to prefer farms and trees to rows of solar panels everywhere.

    People are allowed to choose their surroundings.
    Put it this way: Think of some living arrangement you, aesthetically, might dislike but which is not in itself dangerous or harmful. Now imagine having a vote on it.

    That's the big problem : "depending on who is judging" .
    The whole "hate" concept it pretty useless anyway. it's whatever someone wants to define it as. Today's "I don't like you" is tomorrow's hate speech.

    I think he was being sarcastic: at the time it was presented as "oh, but we have to remove the lead, it costs MORE!", when in reality they were just charging more for not adding it.

  8. Friend of mine had her best friend stabbed to death a few years back in London, for being black.
    Does his death, by knife, make it any less tragic? Yet it doesn't show up in gun violence stats. We probably need a simple "violence" stat, Mr. Real World.

    oddly enough, according to credit reporting documents, having ANY debt at all hurts my score. This includes, for example, $25 charged before my statement arrives ( I pay everything off every month).
    That stupid $25 counts as "debt" and thus supposedly counts against me.
    I guess I could overpay, but if you continually do that, they eventually get tired of it and issue a credit check ( I had this happen once).

    and, the Anonymous statement above "You seek to intimidate and/or eliminate those that are different from you and those that you dislike by any means possible" could equally be applied to Anonymous, just sayin....

    I can remember once being in Paris, and the only loud, obnoxious , constantly complaining Americans I saw? A student tour group from that inclusive, multicultural bastion of humanity, UC Berkeley.
    The rest of us stumbled with French, asked nicely, and generally had no issues.

    Not really.
    Loser has an s sound similar to a Z, while Looser has an s sound more similar to an S. IE: Loo - zer and Loo-sir.

    I do have to agree that everytime I see "looser" instead of "loser", my teeth ache.

    Perhaps it comes from being rejected by the US foreign service, during sit down all day testing, by a foreign service officer who continually said "aks". "we will aks you the question, and....".
     

  18. Personally, I find the term "Mozilla" to be culturally offensive to the Japanese, making fun of their film heritage. Plus the "Mo" portion is sexist, hinting at mustaches or something like that. Please change it to something more neutral, like "Pablum".

    When you get right down to it, the bigger issue is why a heart procedure costs 85K at all.
    When I was born, in 1970, my family had no insurance. The hospital bill? $200.
    At some point, we might just burn down all the hospitals.

    Oddly enough, the last time I was in Houston, everyone kept talking to me in the elevator, asking me where I'm from, etc. .While here, in Los Angeles, nobody will talk to you even if your hair's on fire.

  25. Stress does all sorts of bad stuff to you, and the constant stress of having your hometown flooded, irradiated, possibly losing family members and being permanently uprooted can't be good.
