Yes, yes, we know. All libertarians are like Somalia, all Democrats are Stalin, and all Republicans are the Monopoly guy ( Whose name is "Rich Uncle Pennybags, btw).
Oddly enough, I see no mention of race in the parent you're referencing. Just location. Unless you're saying that only certain races could possibly live in Detroit. Which is, in itself, a racist statement.
It's logical, except we're seeing a backlash to a failure to perform on the second part of that contract. I'll use my state, California, as an example. When times are bad, the state government demands increased taxes to get through them. When times are good, instead of saving or viewing it as the time to make up for the increases, they simply shout "Happy days are here again" and increase spending further. Next bad times are even worse due to the increase. Repeat until infinity. That's why we're seeing resistance to spending during a recession. Nobody trusts their restraint during good times anymore.
"They honestly want to help people". I'm sorry, I just laughed milk out my nose. You've been duped, buddy. Plus, you violated the cardinal rule of discourse: never trust anything that comes after "Honestly"
I call shenanigans. Whenever I've suggested a flat tax along the lines you suggest, I've been roundly insulted by people who claim it's unfair to the poor, and they have been overwhelmingly Democrat. Just sayin...
What is bothers me is that both the Republicans and the Democrats love increasing federal spending. They just preach different mantras to get that in place.
When one group of citizens shows up with the shocking idea of reducing that spending, they're labelled racists and Hillbillies.
Voting here from California, EMT is a pretty standard term. I've heard it going back to at least the 90s. Maybe in your area it's not used as much, so you're not familiar with it.
Which is more difficult: Get on Twitter, or Get on the TV News? There's the problem. The bar is so much lower for someone randomly shoving a tweet out there.
Having been in almost all male work environments and all female work environments, I've noticed both genders tend to be cruder around their own Gender.
But damn, while with all men it's sometimes a little uncomfortable, around women sometimes it's positively offensive.
Example:
Men in the group might talk about some woman's tits, or some woman they want to sleep with.
Women would tell me I'd have to be careful or I'd get raped by them.
It seems that in some ways men have already been trained to tone down this stuff, while women have no history in keeping that out of the discussion.
So, your point is that the civilian people killed were guilty because they were Americans?
Wow, you better hope someone doesn't find out what your great great grandfather did, or we'll be standing by applauding when they give you your punishment.
Moron.
Yes, because the proper response to tragedy is to do anything, regardless of whether it's correct or incorrect.
I'd agree with you on that: Lots of Americans will do something JUST TO BE DOING SOMETHING.
Now, let's go with your idea: Since the bombing in Boston, we need to crack down more on foreigners! See, not so obvious now, is it?
I think sometimes people confuse shills with teams. There are those who choose MS support as their "team", some who choose a particular flavor of Linux. They just become pro whatever, like some people collect coins, others collect art.
It's random.
The republicans want to interfere with your personal life because it's the moral thing to do, and you're an immoral person.
The democrats want to interfere with your personal life because they know better than you what's good for you.
Nope: that's just activation in first quarter 2013.
which is the problem with this prank. It preys on that trust, honesty, and respect. You don't want to risk damaging that for a joke.

This is correct. Seriously. Imagine a one postcard tax form, knowing exactly what you would owe, and reaonable belief that nobody's using a tax dodge.

C'mon. You can never have enough codpieces.
Pills. And don't tell me for a moment you couldn't google up enough info on them to do it right.

non profit news sources do have their own bias, though.
I'd have to agree with this.
The critiquemen!

This conversation, literally, makes my head explode...

Which is why we need to all settle down a bit and figure out what's going on before going crazy on how to respond.

Am I the only one who hates phone naming conventions? "Android Razr Maxx HD". I almost feel dumber typing it.

Oddly enough, the founder of planned parenthood was a big believer in Eugenics. Don't believe me? Look it up.
