I have access to well over 700GB of MP3s. I have 20 CD cases full of ... whatever. About a fifth of them are MP3 CDs, each case holds ~208 CDs, and some of the slots are holding two discs. A low estimate (4 cases, 200 discs each, 700MB/disc) puts me in the range of 546.875 GB of music. Not to mention the 120GB drive my roommate has that is full of music, plus my 30GB firewire music drive, plus my 30GB of music on internal drives. The total: 726.875 GB. The most I ever had on my machine at once was 240GB, and my playlist was over a year and a half long, easy.

    It's not impossible.

You're a moron simply because of the fact that you consider the filth that Fox 'News' spews forth to actually be news.
I laughed when I read this. I absolutely abhorr the fact that so many Americans will watch the 'news' today and think they're learning everything about what's going on in the world.
    Example:
Why the fuck do we care about Laci Peterson? I don't mean to sound crude, and I'm sorry she died and all, but she's just another murder victim in the big scheme of things. Why has so much time been devoted to following every detail of her case?
Why are we making a hero out of Jessica Lynch? She was a noncombatant soldier that got captured by the enemy in an ambush and had to be rescued. The heroes were the soldiers that risked their lives to get her out.
What happened to the whole "justify a war before you start it" requirement? Where are the supposed WMDs we originally went in to Iraq to find? I get EXTREMELY pissed when people say, "Well, we got rid of Saddam, so that's good enough." If that was good enough, we would have done it a long time ago. We didn't, because we had an ulterior motive. I can assure you it was NOT WMDs. It was most likely our desire to gain control of Iraqi oil

Yes, I'm a liberal. No, I'm not a democrat. I'm an anarchist. You are now free to go ahead and complain about what I said.

As far as I know, that doesn't even hapen today. I might be wrong, of course, and I'd like to know if I am, so feel free to correct me.

  13. Vaporware? on 3D Photo Gadget Reviewed · · Score: 0

Does this product actually exist yet? I noticed that they talked about stunning examples of 3D photos that required those goofy glasses, but the link to their 'gallery' only took me to a page saying 'coming soon'. Seems a bit fishy that somehow a full-color photo could have 'stunning' color, and still require those glasses to be viewed.

On another note, 3D photography is definitely nothing new. Back in the '50s, there were cameras you could buy that used a special type of film and had two lenses, spaced about three or four inches apart. Each lense recorded a separate image, and the distance simulated the distance between the human eyes. It worked pretty well; my grandparents had one. As a nice added bonus, you didn't have to wear glasses to view the photos - just look at the two images through a lit box (like an old Viewmaster), and they take on a nice pseudo-3D appearance.

  16. Why are they so unpopular? on Bubble Bursts for e-Books · · Score: 0

To me, it's quite obvious why eBooks are so unpopular. There are several very good reasons: 1. Lack of content. So few "big name" publishers distribute content through the eBook format that most electronics companies think it would be a bad investment to make a reader for them. 2. Cost. As has been mentioned, losing your eBook reader and the contents thereof would likely cost significantly more than losing a $10-$15 softcover book. Until there are enough special features in an eBook to offset the price of the reader, most people will refuse to buy them. The makers of DVD movies have realized this, and now tend to pack all sorts of special features onto DVDs to attract the customer to their product instead of cheaper, less content-rich VHS versions. 3. Lack of interest. Most people would much rather hold a solid book in their hands than stare at a computer screen, no matter how crisp the image may be. Reading a book is also easier on the eyes than an eBook, from a physiological standpoint. I'm sure there are more reasons than those I have listed, but for sake of space I'll leave you to discover them.
