Entrapment means you were persuaded or induced to commit a crime by law enforcement. Just being given an opportunity to commit a crime would not constitute entrapment. Otherwise, every sting operation in America would be entrapment. http://www.lectlaw.com/def/e024.htm
Wouldn't work in my office. All webmail is banned. They don't want anyone downloading attachments because of the threat of viruses. Any incoming mail sent from outside the network is automatically stripped of its attachments by the corporate firewall.
I've heard that many companies are now providing statements online with the option to stop mailing you a physical copy. Someone can't steal what isn't produced in the first place.
Hmmmm. Your arguments are airtight. Unless of course one day someone figures out how to "break" "into" a "computer" and "steal" "data". But we've probably got a long wait ahead of us before that happens.
If you delay this, you'll just be in the same situation some years down the road. Without setting a date and sticking to it, nothing gets done.
What "situation"? The point is that it's not really important whether we switch or not. It's just television. I say, let the change happen organically. Sure, it might take a little longer but the last thing I need is the government mandating which TV I can buy.
You're absolutely right. I'm interested in the Mac mini and think it's a good price but that's because it's really OS X I'm interested in. A Mac mini is the cheapest way for me to be able to run it. That's what they're really selling: the OS. As cheap hardware to run Linux on it's a bad deal. I can cobble together hardware for less than $500 that'll handle Linux.
The console portion of Sega (Service Games) is an entirely American company. There's nothing Japanese about it. It was founded by an American who moved to Japan to import jukeboxes or something but the console part of the business was built up in the US and never left the States.
When are these asshats going to clue in to the fact that we live in a democracy.
News to me. I've lived in Canada 30 years and never once was I allowed to cast a vote for my head of state or even my Prime Minister. Not quite sure what you're talking about really but you're probably super confused after reading what I wrote so I better let you go now.
What good is a filter really? Filters don't prevent the spam from clogging the network. Then you've got to waste cycles analyzing all the mail. And of course there are the problems associated with false positives. Seems to me a better solution is to try to discourage people from sending it in the first place.
"I'm an avid reader, and I find that downloading books is much more convenient that trying to get them from the bookstore or library. However, I'm tired of sitting in front of a monitor to do my reading.
Sounds to me that reading in front of a monitor is 10 times the hassle of heading to the library and picking up a book or two. You've got to worry about power, portability, selection, price. In other words, you're lying when you say that downloading books is more convenient or else you wouldn't be asking how to make it more convenient.
All it takes is for a large enough minority (probably less than 20% of all their customers) to decide that any product offered with a rebate is automatically disqualified from consideration for purchase and all that extra margin the merchants have been making on the rebate scam goes away.
Alternatively, let's get a large enough minority to turn in the rebates. Sounds to me like you go in saying "I'll never be bothered to send in this rebate so I'll just pay full price." Who's the sucker?
60067 would have been a better choice.
The foresight of the Founding Fathers to add that to the Bill of Rights was truly astounding.
Care to provide examples of your claim?

Have physics and the law of gravity changed in the last 50 years?

Infrastructor was my favorite Transformer. He ruled.

Beautiful reference. Made me laugh.
Who knew you could attach things to other things using a bracket and screws? Thanks again Slashdot.

What? You're high.
What the fuck is this daypass shit anyway? Where I live a daypass allows a psychotic out of the asylum to look for a job.
Try searching for "Who was the President of the United States in 1996" and you get Pat Choate. What a joke. Try it.

Guess you don't ever talk on a landline then because the technology in them hasn't changed since Alexander Graham Bell.

Don't think they have to worry about it getting into their lungs unless they plan on removing their breathing apparatus.
No sensors, servos or video input. Well, that's your first problem.
They bought them from the Canadians.

A very large market of very old people. The demographics just aren't there I'm afraid.
