  1. Re:Lawsuits? on Training From America's Army Game Saved a Life · · Score: 5, Informative
In the US - and elsewhere - most people have no clue how to help a car accident victim and any attempt by an untrained individual to help is invariably counter-productive.

The best thing to do is to stop, observe, and call 911. Trying to do anything else in a car accident situation is almost always going to cause more harm than good.

And in the US, most states have good samaritan laws so that if you are acting in good faith, you are not liable. A few places have laws that compel you to render assistance as well, but they are normally only enforced on TV shows like Seinfeld.

That's the point- there are no other companies who could do the job. The contract in question was an extension of a contract that was open bid but made no-bid when it was first issued during the Clinton administration. Why did they make it no bid? The low bid came from a French firm that the Clinton administration had no faith in their ability to do the job.

No-bid contracts sometimes make sense and only in national defense office are contracts over 100k must be open bid.

This really doesn't have much to do with corruption. I realize you've been force fed a lot of garbage about how the government works.

The reason they are in their own parties is because they smell bad, have poor personal hygeine, and can't get a long with anyone else. Many with their same views but not body oder and social ineptness are actually parts of the two major parties. As parties, they have diametrically opposed points of view. C) Very, very few politicians in the US are actually bribed. That's a typically neurotic viewpoint of nitwits like yourself: of course the only reason someone doesn't think the same way you do is because they are paid off.

So gold does have intrinsic value and is considered a excellent and portable store of value.
