hook it up to a drummer on stage while projecting his readout behind him. Aside from the potential of death this would be pretty cool. Maybe Spinal Tap could run some trials?

  2. Somebody Fire That Old Geezer! on Verisign Granted DNS Lookup Patent · · Score: 0

OK, Im just gonna assume that there is one really old and really senile guy in some sub-basement office somewhere that should have been forced into retirement about 20 years ago. Someone stop this guy from approving any more silly patents? BTW, my patent for "Communication through the manipulation of orally produced sounds." is about to be approved.

Imagine reliving the suspense of being chased by that bat-ish thingy while holding that chalice that you stole from blocks shaped sorta like a seahorse/dragon and ummm... yeah... no really this will be neat. I want a remake of Yar's Revenge and Crystal Castles... oooh and maybe a online version of Tank War.

  4. Silent Hill on PS1 made me feel like a on What Games Have Actually Affected You? · · Score: 0

SIlent Hill on the Playstation was the first game to make me feel on edge and stressed out and even scared sometimes. You didnt have a practically unlimited supply of ammo. That eerie static was for the most part the only sound besides your footfalls in that deafening silence. It really let your imagination take over.

Yeah... well I worked for DirecTV Broadband in Beaverton OR. At least they didnt shut down the equipment halfway through your work day and tell you to get out of the building with along with 400 other co-workers. P.S. These security guards will make sure nobody accidentally leaves with anything they dont need. No, don't try to speak to a supervisor.. we sent management home 2 hours earlier.

  7. Re:Ok, WineX Lovers on WineX 3.0 Examined · · Score: 0

Look at Bleemcast (PSX emulator for Sega Dreamcast). It emulated the original games on a different platform, even with graphical enhancements, but it didn't convince anyone who already had a PSX to jump on the Dreamcast...it just made already-committed Dreamcast owners happier.

Thats cause Bleemcast only supported a grand total of 3 games! There is a Bleemcast Blue that surfaced around May of last year and it supports somewhere around 100 games. The thing is, it's a ripped off beta and was never officially released and still surfaced way after everyone but the hardcore fans and hobbyists gave up on Dreamcast. (I love mine BTW you can buy one brand new for around $35, Mamed rox!)

  8. Re:only from flashlights on LEDs - Do the Benefits Outweigh the Cost? · · Score: 0

I love LED flashlights myself. Theyre more compact and rugged. I also noticed that w/ my flourecent flashlight itll last a while on low batteries, but you'll reach a point where you cant turn it off or it wont turn back on because it takes a higher voltage to get it started than to maintain the light. LEDs just keep going and going and...

  11. Radio Democracy on Stations Can't Play Crippled Music Disks · · Score: 1

I personally stopped listening to the radio sometime around 1997 when Radio Free Hawaii went off the air. It was radio democracy with ballot boxes around the state. It had better music than any other stations and without the horrible 4 hour rotation that most mainstream stations use. (They figure that most listeners spend 2 hrs a day w/ the radio, so they rotate to make sure you hear the hits). Of course thier ratings were at the very bottom according the Arbitron rating system wich they refused to subscribe to. From what I understand Austrailia copied the format... but I'm not sure if its still going down under.
