I have been pissed off by them as well. I subimitted a story about how you can take ANYTHING and drop it into a machine and it returns to you: oil, water, and the minerals that make it up. Isn't that interesting? Apparantly NOT.

    I am so pissed off.
I was sitting here in my garage. Yep thats were my laptop is, thats were I do work, remote update and some coding.

I live in a nice part of town, or so I think.
I was listening to Pink Floyd, a boot, queitly. I was updating my server, and then the cat ran by. I thought nothing of it. Then my garage door started opening up. There was a light, and then I realized behind me was an intruder! Someone wanted in my garage! Mother phucker! I was pisssed I openend that door real fast and ran out, but they ran faster then me.
    I am so frazzeled now!
The only other time I had a break in was when I was movining. They took everything that was important to me. I cant beleive I let these guys get away. I wonder now what I would have done to them. There is nothing lower then a thief.

Excuse it nothing to with whatever the post is, but thats what I have going on right now.

Seems to me you get what you have sown.

The time you spent reasearching is where you make the money. The client is paying for you to develop the sort routine. You wouldnt even own the rights to it, unless the client allowed that in writing. This is a very sticky area; if the client is paying for you to develop a routine and you then sell that routine to someone else your client has every right to sue YOU.

    AGREED.
Musicians dont need a record contract anymore, or at least they shouldnt need one. They play we pay. The cd is an ad to get us to go see them.

Funny thing is that no one mentions that a band had been alive and well on ticket sales with crappy Albums there whole 30 year carrier. They never cared about the money, but they played what they liked and the money came.

And the connection is even funnier, Barlow, 1 of the 3 EFF founders was a lyricist for that band.

He knows that freedom of music is a good thing, independence, rather the dependence, only hurts the artist. (And us by giving us a minute portion of the music world).

I dont agree with you sort of. If you take someone who knows very little about computers, say my mother, she is stumped right off no matter what operating system it is. She doesnt care if its linux or windows, each will do what she wants, right letters to friends and surf the internet, and chat (which I tought her just recently).
To test my thoery she used windows 98 for a while, then I switched it to Redhat 9. Using KDE she really see's no difference between the two. Sure she clicks mozilla for internet, not ie, but once I showed her its fine. Same with my friends little sister. She has been using nothing but Linux, has no idea its any thing different then what her friends use at home.

So its really the people who arent ordinary users, people looking for specific software they have used before that are the holdouts. For the others, linux works fine for them.

I say FUCK YOU to all the people who moved in, I hope your traffic gets WORSE! And just go figure that a Mercer Island rep is the one who is suggesting this! I have friends in the Dept of Trans and we are doing are best to screw you assholes who moved here. You came liking the open space, the clean air, the friendly people, and you complained about the weather. Then you fucked our traffic, ours towns, and became bitter. FUCK YOU

What some companies are doing is selling the old ROMS on cd. This is smart. They collect like 50 of thier "classic" games and sell them for like $5-9. This then allows you to download any rom for any architecture you use. They are happy, you are legal. Why not more of this?
