I trade computer and network support for chiropractic care. I worked out a deal with my chiropractor 4 years ago.
In addition, I gave free computer lessons to a professional massage therapist for 3 years in exchange for working on my shoulder.
Between the two deals, I was able to cure severe scoliosis that was caused by rhumatitis in my shoulder which was caused by a couple of car accidents.
The barter system is great, and if my field was something completely different, I feel that I would still be able to find a way to perform trades.

IMHO, an interview is a limited-time opportunity for you to convince a potential employer of your strengths. Avoid spending time on subjects that make YOU feel awkward. If you feel awkward, as you do, the interviewer will sense it.
The best thing to do in this situation is quickly explain: "The company changed it's priorities shortly after I started work, next question please..."
Now you have more time in your interview to talk about your previous long-term employment.
I swim about 5 miles per week when I am in my routine (2-3 when out of my routine)
How do I do it working 10 hours a day? Simple, find a pool close to work, hop in for 35 minutes (1 mile per day) on your lunch break, go back to work and have a small sandwich or protein bar at your desk. Does it work? Yeah! I'm the most Abercrombie & Fitch-looking Software Engineer I know...;)
Try it, I think you'll find the afternoons alot less stressful as swimming clears your mind and refreshes your day!
Likewise, my former boss got up in pounds a bit, but he started hitting the gym on his lunch break, and he's lost about 40 lbs in six months.
....why I have to suffer everyday coding in.Net languages (sh*t) when I have spent years perfecting my knowledge of Java!!! Help me! How do I get back into the Java world??? Jobs?

I read this article a few days ago, and after reading it I was wishing that I had a space to praise the Tom's crew for directly confronting this issue.
This is a huge issue for online gaming that not many people have addressed, and it's great to see a major I-zine bringing the issue to the forefront. Nice job guys!
Apparently cars have an "electronic brain" that they think with. That's great, because I have a few questions that I'd like my car to think about.
A worthless comment by a pre-coffee x-guru
...but most spammers make four times that amount per deal. So, the company that spammed that particular deal still made a huge profit. I say pahtuey (sp?)
Not quite....but I did to get Mandrake 9.1 RC2 to install and run inside VMWare Workstation 4.0 Beta (this is a few days b4 the 9.1 final release). Check out the screenshots.
There is something seemingly dangerous about running beta software inside beta VMs...
...but I intend to follow in his footsteps: when I die, my age will also be a power of 2.
Ahhhhh...if I can make it past 64, I'll be at least 128 or mybe 256!

C'mon, man! South Florida has NO JOB market for IT! They could offer $20,000/year, and I bet one of the 10,000 former Motorola guys would jump at the chance to stop waiting tables and use their skills. Not to mention the IT house cleaning that went on in nearby Tampa/St. Pete.
Anyway, I don't think Largo is a competetive market on par with the National mean by Comparison.
It's fascinating to me that the DOJ does a shakedown on an obscure site like isonews, however truly obvious ones (like www.m-dc--p.com) go completely unnoticed.
If anyone has any idea what criteria the Federal Fuzz uses to decide what vectors to pursue (in tracking down mod-chipping terrorists or otherwise), I'd be interested to know.
See if there is a local scanning sub-contractor that can handle that work en-mass.
These guys have large very fast machines that could scan all of your documents in just a few minutes, and I am sure the charge would be minimal.
Best of Luck.

I'm not sure I would have been so nasty, but I mostly agree with what you said.

Especially with the part about turning on your

Though I must say, I am also a drunken Software Engineer
and I take a fence to some of that.
IMHO, that story should never have made it to

p.s. no she's not 'let herself go' -- mostly the contrary!
As evidenced by this pic which comes from here.
