    I've had to reboot my macbook pro twice in the last couple of weeks because of new versions of quicktime to fix security flaws, it's 51Mb each time and I don't use quicktime at all. I could stomach it if it didn't require a reboot. How did they couple a shit buggy media player so closely to the OS?

    It is, but you might aswell just watch the news or read a news paper to find out the official WH word since "journalists" these days just really regurgitate white house press releases, leaks. Sometimes they get Cheney or Rice in to repeat what they leaked to the NYT the night before.

    If you can't even run the ant build file you say you have in Eclipse then it must be either down to you somehow making it netbeans specific, or you are using eclipse wrong (I think your eclipse expert might be nothing of the sort).

    (Of course, to be fair, on my Mac, I tend to use Terminal.app and GVim for preference, and neither Eclipse nor Netbeans.)

    For java?!?! oh - you are one of those people..

    As well as the usability issues you mention it amazed me that after giving them my name and address and agreeing to a license that said they would take money out of my bank account I still got a CAPTCHA after a few hits.

    It should be like hot or not where your choice takes you straight to the next image, then you could review images at a much faster rate.

    It's a shame because this idea is really good apart from that.

    TomTom is much better for in car navigation than any cell phone could be.


    My phone RUNS TomTom, something you don't have an option with on the iPhone, even if you coupled it with an external GPS unit since you can't run software on it.

    I've been reading up on this and it is disgusting, it is a not for profit organisation but cronyism is siphoning millions or billions out of it. Someone with a wikepedia account should note this controversy on the Kaiser Permanente page.

    Unfortunately, because neither of us make a huge amount of money, we both have to work and pay over $24,000 a year in daycare as well.


    Both of you earn more than $24k each a year each, I don't see what your problem is. If one of you doesn't earn more than you are paying on childcare then quit your job and spend it with your precious ones.

    The country is in a terrible state, ever single institution the government has a say is a f*** up. They have signed up our hospitals and schools to PFI (aka loan sharks), reduced our freedoms, increased taxes and still the poor in society are no better educated or paid.

    Hopefully soon those who got a small amount of tax credits to buy their vote (whilst they lost more from other taxes/increases) will come to their senses and vote for another party at the next election.

    I liked the footage of the US tankbuster shooting at the UK armored vehicles. The guy was laughing as he layed into them... later on he was saying "God bless it" instead of "God damn it" so presumably because he was a god fearing christian.... who thought it was fun to kill people until he realises they are a similar color/religion to him.

    if... from the article that just seems like pure conjecture. These people have basically killed some rare creature and are now acting like proud hunters "yeah it died but it was THIS BIG!!!".

    The Japanese are also well known for killing whales "for research" and then eating them. It wouldn't surprise me if Japan's markets are suddenly awash with squid meat.
