I lost moderating access when I logged in one one ip address with both my userids (I had one for home and one for work and ended up using the wrong one when cookies reset etc..).
Anyway i'm not that bothered, been there done that.
Its about as accurate as claiming buying some adwords is equivalent to "an attempt to direct all traffic to their special news coverage". Does the article submitter even understand adwords? I could understand if google was one of those search engines that allows paid listings mixed in with real results.
The article submitter also seems to suggest that the BBC was complicit in sexing up the Iraq Dossier!
As someone who pays for the BBC every month I am very grateful to their reporting, not always the best but it serves the important role of being a news organisation that is not a slave to shareholders/owners etc..
.... and say goodbye to any great bermuda sites that dare to tell you what are recommended hotels.
The people in this thread have been complaining that google no longer returns relevant results, this is the core problem with google right now. Most defensive posts in this thread are how to get around googles deficiencies, but that is the whole problem. E.g if you have to advanced search google and narrow your search to the digital camera review site (excellent site btw) you might as well short circuit google alltogether and go straight to the site!
Google is on the way out unless it sorts itself out. They seem to be losing their keen edge, they are indexing blogs for example but blogs are 99% noise. They havent considered indexing forums, there are lots of phpbbs,UBBs,invision boards etc out there with actual experts talking about things and they are an amazing resource that has taken the internet by storm yet they just ignore it.
Google groups is also getting annoying, unless you put -iraq -israel -bush in you end up with political arguments for many totally unrelated searches.
Google will be great again not by simply listing everything but listing RELEVANT results.
You have no censorship in TV ads? I find that very strange.
In reality you will allow some things we don't and vice versa (e.g we wont dub "shit" out from blazing saddles). Its not because you are more free, or I am more free its just the rules that have been made.
None of us are truly free, only free to do what we are allowed to say and do.
Our company has hundreds of office(Word, excel, access, outlook) macros . I was just about to say you were wrong but I realised they do use DLLs for pulling data out of a third party app.
Its a shame that VBA is a lump of shit from what i've seen.
Of course self is rooted in the brain. You only have to look at the personality and behavioural changes that happen with damage to the brain to show that.

The article poster is a dimwit and/or troll IMO.

And thats why you should use something like mod_perl.
I wondered if he was confusing co-pros with those piggy back style devices that was basically a 486 on a socket adaptor.
They don't need to block them only give them a poorer rating, after all these sites usually have very little actual content.
I agree though that they will always be targetted by spammers, I just wish they would fight back a bit more.

That would be good.
One way to improve google would be to filter any domain that has more than one hypen in it.
You know those results from - "buy-mobile-phones-cheap-now-online.com" that you get when you searched for "linux patch".
Have you ever had this message: ;-)
"Son, I know you didnt notice me come in but could you jerk off to net porn after i've finished checking my email?"
I could imagine sitting down to interview him and thinking "oh fuck it" and punching him in the face repeatedly instead.

Theres quite a few to keep an eye on now, java,.NET,Parrot and more..
What we need is another IL that all the other ILs bytcode can be compiled to!
my smc barricade does (about 100, or 90$!).
You have adverts in movies?
Or do you mean intermissions.
The last few times I went to the cinema there were no intermissions, though I remember them as a child.
This is one of the more interesting stories i've read recently here.
You spelt "walla" wrong.
;-)
Handy tip for you there
GPS guided bullets....
ouch.
Hmm, what was that film with Tom Selleck and robots in it?
I think that might be the biggest banner ad i've ever seen!
Jeffery archer wrote a book about his time in prison.
Its called "my time in hell" or something, which is funny considering they allowed him out during the day to attend dinner parties etc..
What on earth would be the point in that?
Have you even thought this through?

So.. under what circumstances is spinning out ok?
No but I bet they believe Saddam and terrorism are linked, and all the other false memes that are put out.
The day when all of Iraq celebrates will be when the US invaders leave.
It doesn't make any sense because for issues like this they say to themselves "what would a christian fundamentalist decide?" and do that.
Seriously, look at the decisions and note the trends.
