As if that wasn't enough, if you accept Facebook's privacy policy, you're the type to tolerate all sorts of shit which ultimately makes you to blame for the gradual erosion of individual liberties. Your desire to put convenience over a sensible policy of personal information dissemination makes you a useful idiot of every authoritarian state.
Which the main reason I never used it our any of the other sites. I can't remember which one it is, but you have to register just to look at anything. Not worth the effort, just so I can be tracked.
Pretty funny.. I ran it on firefox (which I can't update due to IS) and got 71, Opera (which I can't update due to IS) 85. IE Version 7.0.5730.11 (which IS may or may not update) and it was unintelligble (couldn't even see score), and IE 6 in Citrix which got an 11.
When ever a store asks for a phone number or zipcode for their demographics database, I alway give them something bogus, but valid. I usually give them my old APO zipcode from when I was stationed overseas.
PC Gamer will be next. It really irritates me that as the magazine become fewer, it seems like they become shills more and more. Like the way PC Gamer keeps inflating scores on turds like the PC version of GTA IV or saying Securom really isn't bad.
I was a dumbshit and made double payments on my house and paid it off this year in 11 years total. I should have let my rich uncle "Sam" pay it off for me. I also paid off my credit cards too. All a few months before the economy tanked. BTW.. its called living within your means.
My son has the 360 version, but I can't stand to play it due to the crappy controls. I bought the other ones in PC form an had a blast with them. I was planning on buying this one, so I could enjoy it with proper mouse/keyboard controls. Since they did this, I won't buy the PC version. I sucks that all I really can do is watch someone else play through it on the 360.
Therefore I blame the publisher for using securom, and I blame Microsoft for not supporting keyboard and mouse on the 360.
I pretty much agree with most everything you said. Our 360 is pretty much only used as a media center extender. The new interface has made it difficult to get to the area you want. The menus for music and videos use larger fonts and graphics, so you see fewer items on the screen at once. The highlighted text bar is bright green with light grey text. Makes it difficult to read. There is no option to sort directories before filenames, so directories are mixed in with the file names now. Videos didn't work initially, and required a re-download of the codec pack. Codec support is still weird, in that videos that play fine by going through the videos menu, won't play inside of the media center interface. It also seems to have too much of the "are you sure you want to do that?" Vista UAC type crap.
I didn't know about bypassing the avatard creation. Too bad you can't delete the 'tard and do without.
The simplified blade interface by hitting the silver "X" ball is nice, and would be better if you could make that the default.
That reminded me of the "Idiot" amendment that was on our ballot. On Election Day, Iowa voters will have more to consider than just the usual public offices. Also on the ballot is what some Iowans are referring to as the "Idiot Amendment." The proposed amendment to the Iowa Constitution regarding voting limitations for mentally incompetent Iowans finally makes it onto the ballot 11 years after Rep. Pam Jochum, D-Dubuque, and former Rep. Betty Grundberg wrote the proposal. The proposed amendment affects Article II 5 ("Disqualified Persons"), which currently reads: "No idiot, or insane person, or person convicted of any infamous crime, shall be entitled to the privilege of an elector." Iowans are asked to vote on whether to strike "idiot" and "insane person" from ; in place of the outdated and offensive terminology, "mentally incompetent" will be inserted into the Constitution.
Small town in Iowa. Polls opened at 7am and I was there at 7:15. Polls were only 3 blocks away at local library, so walked. Seemed like everyone in line was excited to vote. Wait in line took about 15 minutes, voting took about 5. Used paper optically scanned ballot, though there was one electronic voting machine for people who felt like gambling.
Nothing kept them from going to a LAN. They just chose not to.. and then a subset of people that showed up played MMOs anyway. And yes..reliable, affordable high-speed internet had a large part of the blame for the drop off as well.
MMOs killed my favorite.. LAN gaming. We had an active group of LAN gamers that got together about every other month. We had about 50 or so people show up to game and talk smack and drink bawls. Then Evercrack, DAOC, and finally WoW whittled away the people that showed up. When the LANs finally died we had about 20 or so people, and about half of them would log into their MMO accounts.
One bright thing though, there is an annual LAN coming up next month, and since it is rare, there is less MMO bullshit going on.
Unfortunatley the Republican Senator is not up for vote this time otherwise I be looking for options. The Democratic Senator is, but his only opposition is a Republican with fundamentalist backing, so the Dem will get a reluctant, hold my nose vote from me this time. My congressman, a Democrat, is up this time, and after researching the candidates, decided to go with the Green party. She opposed the bailout from the beginning, and is closely aligned with my views on most everything.
I also will be holding my nose voting for Obama. I'd vote for the Greens if I thought it wouldn't end up benefiting McCain/Airhead.
It really pisses me off that so many of these asswipes supported the robbing of the American people. Bin Laden is probably laughing his ass off right now.
This cracked me up going to that link.. "Sign up for Facebook to join How to permanently delete your facebook account."
But how would you know if there were pictures of you there if you aren't on facebook, or myspace, or any other thing like that?
That would be 128 KB of ram....You insensitive clod!

I guess we can thank GW for starting the forever war.
But seriously, I hope they don't fuck it up. One of my favorites!

It's probably the facebook crap that causes that. Facebook is blocked at work and the video feed still works.
Like the 2 supposedly healthy ER docs at my hospital that dropped dead. One was on his treadmill, and the riding a bike when it happened.
There are too many Agent Smiths.

The Cinquecento if it really was a Cinquecento, would be cool. Doesn't this Cinquecento have a 1 liter engine making it a Fiat Mille?

Yeah.. my thought is that the winner is winning a Phyrric victory. They certainly have a hell of a mess to deal with.

That's Osama Bin Forgotten.. Fixed that for you.
That's a good point. A fair number of people take those pocket TVs to football and baseball games so they can catch replays.
Maybe you've heard of it. It's the rover that made the Endeavor run in less than 360 femtoparsecs.
