I concur. Wife has one and is a light user. Still on the same set of batteries for 2 years. There is no formatting, other than carriage returns I think. Like he mentioned about dumping text. Pc thinks it's a keyboard, so you hit like 1 button, and it dumps text into what ever window/app is open. Also, I'd guess it works with any OS. Works fine in Linux or windows. Command line or GUI. Even has a spell checker built in.
If you have your car payed off and spend $70 a week for gas, that is a total of $3640 for an entire year.
On the other hand, if you buy a $25000 hybrid, you might only need to buy $30 of gas a week, but unless your car payments are less than $120 a month, you aren't saving any money by buying a hybrid.
Or you just drive your old car more sensibly and spend less than $25 week on gas. Going from driving the way I used to, I got 28 mpg per tank. Slowing down and applying a few mileage enhancing techniques, I have been getting 36 mpg per tank. That didn't cost me a dime, and I paid off my car 4 years ago.
The website editors decided to reward the customer for publishing the article by paying him an author's royalty in the same amount as was the offered compensation for returning the license."
Lenovo tried to cancel the Czech. Did the editors pay the Czech with a check? I guess I should TRFM and Czech it out.
T Boone wants the wind farm to offset using natural gas for power generation. The natural gas would then be used to power vehicles. That actually make a fair bit of sense as we do have lots of natural gas produced in the US, and would be easier to retrofit vehicles and home to refuel them.
Which is why my wife's system has been linux for the last 5 years. Was Mandrake/Mandriva for first 4, and then Kubuntu for the last/current year. (couldn't get Mandriva to install on new box). She loves how stable it is, and really has no needs other than web, email, photos, and office. Throw in Mahjonng and Solitare and that's a conplete PC as far as she is concerned.
If nobody comes down here and buys a car in the next hour, I'm gonna club this baby seal. That's right! I'm gonna club this seal to make a better deal. You know I'll do it, too, cause I'm crazy.
Depends on where you work..

This is an email exchange I had with Microsoft on this very subject.

Dear Mr. XXXXX,
Our sincere apologies for the long delay in providing you a response to your inquiry.
Because HIPAA applies to organizations and not products, HealthVault and HealthVault Search do not fall under its purview. Microsoft is not waiting for regulations to define our privacy and security practices. Microsoft made the decision early on to set rigorous privacy policies for these products.
Health information technology is evolving rapidly and privacy remains a central concern. Core to Microsoft's privacy principles is our belief that health information is most effectively protected when consumer are at the center of the healthcare system and in control of their information.
Microsoft supports a comprehensive federal approach to privacy legislation. We believe federal privacy legislation should include four key elements to help protect consumer privacy, and to support businesses' privacy policies and compliance efforts. First, there should be a uniform baseline standard that applies across all organizations and industries. Second, any legislation must increase the transparency regarding collection, use and disclosure of personal information. Third, individuals must have meaningful control over the use and disclosure of personal information. Finally, we believe there should be minimum-security requirements around the storage and transit of personal information.
Best regards,
HSG Privacy Team

I noticed while going through the privacy statement there was no reference to HIPAA. With something as personal as one's medical records, HIPAA compliance is a must! http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/hipaa/
Also, I would not be surprised to see a company offer some sort of beneficial tracking program, and then use the data they get through authorization to deny insurance or raise premiums. With advertising being the primary reason for the service, the probability of misuse would be relatively high, I would think.

Yes.. I figure they would have gotten some interrogators from Abu Gahraib since the squid's mantle vaguely looks like a turban.

That's Aldi in the US. We have had Aldi in the state of Iowa for 30 years. Though they just started selling the frozen asparagus a few months ago.
$2 A pound at Aldi. Just had some 2 nights ago as a side with hamburgers.
Nothing like having an alarm clock that draws several hundred watts of power.

Every once in a while I find myself typing ncd at a command line. I should make an alias that does an ncd.
