If you have a problem with blood that clots too well, You might want to see a doctor and have some lab work done. My wife had a pulmonary embolism a few years ago that landed her in the hospital for a week. Turns out she has a genetic marker for a clotting factor that makes her prone to that. She is now on a theraputic dose of coumadin(warfarin)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War farin .

I would say that means the people with live journal pages cant embed things to make the advertising go away. If you are reading a page they couldn't do anything about that.
Exactly! What the hell is facebook, and why should anyone care? I never heard of it until some news story said it was being offered cubic dollars to sell.
"to calculate who knows what and send it God knows where"
And that is exactly why I don't run those programs. I am not smart enough to know if they are looking for a cure for cancer, run nuclear bomb simulations, search for ET's, develop biological or chemical warfare agents... etc.
The same reason me and 200 other people paid $4 to watch it on the big screen for a midnight show. Just watched the first Lord of the Rings there, though they only had about 40 people show up for that one. I don't care how good home viewing is, it won't be as good as a theater.
You are right on! What he wants is something that will take a group of files, copy them in standard file system format, span when appropriate, and then write an index so he can find out what disk has what file.
All the other things are great, but they aren't what he is looking for. If he writes them the way he wants, he can use the disks in virtually any dvd drive. Hell, throw one in your modern dvd player and listen to the mp3s.
Agreed! I bought several CF's(GE) 5 years ago when there was a good rebate going on. They lasted less time than an incandesent. Gave up on them until my local power company had a deal where I could get some for $1 each. These seem to be doing ok so far as I have had them for about 6 months. I have noticed that the newer generation bulbs are brighter than the old ones, at least to me.
My question would be how do they know that the drive is the same physical drive that contained the files? As far as I know, p2p programs don't include any data like that. I would say it would be trivial to duplicate the drive without including the incriminating evidence. To me that says that the drive would be inadmissable as evidence as there is no chain of custody to attest to the veracity of the drive.
So what are pants in the UK?:-) Noun/Adj. Nonsense, rubbish, bad. From the standard British English of pants, meaning underwear; also a variation on 'knickers'. E.g."The first half was pants but I stayed until the end and it was actually a great film." [1990s] Exclam. An exclamation of annoyance or frustration. From the noun, (above).
In today's Cedar Rapids Gazette, the obit was the front page story. Took half the front page, and 2 full pages on the inside. I was really pleased to see such great coverage!
Ahh.. some rich, sheltered, bastard that never had to work fast food. Explosive boiling!
BTW, when I worked at KFC 30 years ago, we used to take hunks of fat from the chicken and throw it in the bug zapper by the back door. We were easily amused.
Yeah, I think that nails it. Our lan gaming group died not because of pirating, but because there wasn't anything that everyone wanted to play and that half the people that showed up only wanted to play WOW.
I haven't bought any new games in a while for several reasons. I'm a tightwad and can't justify upgrading my PC. Battlefield 2 runs fine on my rig (though the amount of cheating is getting like counterstrike was years ago). I own tons of legal games I haven't finished yet. Son has tons of XBox games (most for $10 to $20). Spending more time farting around in linux. Spending more time on my bicycle.
In a nutshell, I think PC gaming is frozen in it's current state for me. If I ever feel the need to do more modern gaming, it will probably be on a console.
I don't know what you mean about that. I'm a lardass and I average between 16 and 17 mph right now. By fall my average will be around 18 and 19. I don't lose hardly any weight either, maybe 10lbs. On RAGBRAI last year I averaged around 15, but that was riding leisurly for 60 to 80 miles a day.
Agree completely. Fortunately, one of the movie theaters in town gives three games for a buck on terminator pinball. I usually drop at least a buck in it every time.
I wonder what would happen if you set up a spreadsheet with assorted illegal drugs, prices, and people. How about weapons and ammo, porn, etc? No real information, obviously, but just to trigger the all seeing eyes that want to get in everyones lives.

That being said, seeing ads is for suckers.

Film is the source, how could a home theater be better than the source material?
Especially with a comedy, a full theater is more fun. Cell phones not an issue at a midnight show.
Yes, seats are worse than lounging on a couch, but not that much worse.
$4 is insane? Especially for something I go to once or twice a month?
The same reason me and 200 other people paid $4 to watch it on the big screen for a midnight show. Just watched the first Lord of the Rings there, though they only had about 40 people show up for that one. I don't care how good home viewing is, it won't be as good as a theater.
What happens to the valuable points earned by tinfoil hat wearing geeks like me that don'a allow google cookies?

comment made by one of the peeps at Penny Arcade
Sentient marshmallow chicks? Or is that some use of peep as a noun that I am not aware of?
I program out the channels I don't watch. Works kinda like adblock.

Buy one for pennies on the dollar after it goes under. That seemed to work here.

Hair Gel.. Whoda thunk it?
"I like the smell of my hair treatment; the pleasing odor is half the point."
Sounds like the void ship from the end of the last season of Doctor Who.

Do you have cats, and do they use Gritty Kitty brand litter?
