I don't see how that could possibly have anything to do with my comment.
let me clarify: The fact that there are a lot of lower class people in the military has nothing to do with the way the draft works at the current moment because we HAVEN'T HAD a draft recently.
I don't see how that could possibly have anything to do with a draft...

It takes 4 years for all those 57000 whatevers to come out. I doubt that's very powerful for anything. I believe they are aiming at long term stuff like airbags and such.
that a european organization can fix by monitoring everything? They can't do anything. All they're going to end up doing is saying that something wasn't done correctly and wheover loses the election will use that to turn the nation to civil war again. No one cheated in the last election, it was just a close call.
LOL... Did you ever attend a public high school? ANY college or university? Do you ever watch the NEWS? (even fox news has a lot of liberals). I think the number is 67% of the US population has liberal leanings. 95% of the media is liberal.
I believe google would be doing the correct thing if it's biasing towards conservative news stories - it will help even things out on google. (when i say it will help even things out on google, i mean it will help even things out on google, in case you thought i meant even things out in the world -- that's fox news's job, and they do a very good job)
A temporary solution (not for gamers or techies, but for mom and dad who just do e-mail)
Have ISP's offer a less expensive internet service where they are on a local IP address (10. or 192.168. or whatever the reserved local ones are) and put thousands of people behind single IP addresses.
Is that a possible thing that people will look in to if IPv6 isn't far enough along by the time IP addresses run out?
It was not Microsoft's decision for them to use their operating system. In fact, they aren't allowed to use it for critical anything in the first place.
Do you not understand the concept of capitalism? The goal of a company/corporation/whatever is to MAKE MONEY. They are not going to make money by making their search engine any better than it already is. 4.2 Billion webpages is more than enough for just about any topic that has any information on the net.
I, for one, welcome google to introduce some competition. I think it would be an incredibly beneficial thing to have 2 large companies that are about even in software. If google wants to start making everything, I hope they do. I hope google makes an OS. I have always been a supporter of windows on slashdot (mod me down), mostly because of the anti-microsoft FUD that gets posted here, and I believe windows XP is incredibly stable and secure for people who know how to use it. Now SP2 makes it secure (and stable, if you factor in the fact that less adware will be getting installed) for everyone. Now back on topic... If google made an OS, I would guess it would be incredibly secure, fast, unbloated (like google's main search page), and will use genius techniques for just about everything. Google won't have to base a new OS off of anything else, while windows has always been known for making things compatable with older versions (which I believe is good, given their circumstances)... but google has different circumstances, and can make software for the future.
You geeks should like the fact that google is going in to new fields. They are probably the only company that can rival microsoft.
And they all have more talent than Britney Spears.
But that's not really saying much...
(Really, but I've heard all of those bands and I agree that they are very good... Although I have to wonder if they're not that popular because they don't play the right style of music.)
They showed us something like that in my photo class... There are two layers, and some sort of (non-visible) pattern on each, and when you turn one layer, it will either block out more light or allow more light. Either way i don't think it's possible to allow more than 50% transparency... but possible for 100% opaqueness.
and adding to that, you can't just have it send its most recently received coordinates because picture this: you get in your car, you put your phone under the seat, you drive a long distance, park in a garage, then go inside. your GPS location is not correct.
so let's see here, we have a few communist editors, socialists... democrats... no one crosses that moderate line that i can think of... or maybe they're censored by the other editors?
I don't think it will be any more revolutionary than when they were showing saturday morning cartoons on them a few years ago. A good novelty, but ultimately to expensive, inconvenient (can't just go-and-play) to compete with the home gathering.
while i agree that this is not revolutionary, and not even an original idea, it can be just as fun (and the same thing as) a LAN party... but this one is already set up for you.
Of course all of their digital media players (music/still photos/video) since the Archos AV100 series have a color screen, but this time the menu system for selecting tracks is in color. Nice, but no big deal.
They have had color screens (and video) since the original Jukebox Multimedia player. Then came the JBM 20, then the AV's.
I don't see how that could possibly have anything to do with my comment.

The company may still develop a custom chipset to re-enable the WiFi functionality if a large customer requests it.
7'2" 300 lbs... do I count?

Since everyone who has said this exact thing is getting modded up informative, I think I'll add another...
It wasn't the hydrogen, it was the paint.
Oh and by the way, it wasn't the hydrogen; it was the paint used on it.
Who was the study done by again? oh that's right, liberals...
no, they approve him. Big difference there. I approved Clinton, but that doesn't mean I would vote for him.

I'll bet you $20 I get modded down.

Furthermore, American has, and never will be, a democracy.
Place your commas in better places.

no, you speak for the normal people. The intelligent people are asking "but what negative effects cancel out the positive ones?"
It only mentions "positive" qualities.

although... i think most slashdotters will agree that nothing is easy if you have to try.
they filmed multiple deaths for saruman.

GPS doesn't work inside.

NO! don't let them anywhere NEAR the internet's power switch!
