    At the bottom of the page of the iOS webpage, http://www.apple.com/ios/ It shows that it's available for the iPhone 4 GSM Model, but no mention of the CDMA versions.

    Also more interestingly, no support for iPhone 3G?! (it isn't in the list at the bottom)

    I don't want to deny sites revenue, but without being able to block the above types of Ad's, I wouldn't visit (or stay on) a site, anyway- so there is little difference.

    So in essence you're hurting the site more by visiting them with no ads than not visiting them at all. TFA's point was that not visiting them doesn't cost them bandwith / server fees etc, but visiting them with adblock costs THEM to serve you content. With no return.

    One has to ask what sort of valid conscious choices can be made while under the influence of drugs and alcohol - and I imagine taking said drugs is not necessarily consentual (something slipped in her drink, etc)

    I personally find Spamgourmet to be more interesting...

    You sign up (yeah, I know, you have to trust them) and give out email addresses like
    madeupkeyword.X.yourusername@spamgourmet.org
    where X is the number of messages (up to 20) that you want to allow for a particular word. Spamgourmet forwards X number of messages to your email, and then quietly destroys any further messages.

    Aren't there lists of IP addresses by geographical regions (countries?)...

    It would be (i would think) simple to null route any packets coming from a country other than the approved one and thus be subject only to local traffic.

    Of course, that would still imply locally defective D-Link products connecting to his NTP server, but I would think this isn't as bad as worldwide traffic.

    How about a web - based ssh client like http://www.appgate.com/products/80_MindTerm/ ? You drop the jar somewhere voilà, instant ssh connection on a browser that has java.

    The (basic) implications of this is that a good chunk of the internet as a whole is inaccessible to the rest of the internet.

    Actually the last version of Maya to run on IRIX is Maya 6.5.

    They cite not enough people running it on IRIX for it to be worth it.

    IANAL, but in Canada, as far as I recall, there were a few cases of lawsuits for violation of non-competition clauses that were lost based on violation of the clauses violating human rights. I don't recall though if they were cases of "stealing" technology though.

    Definitely, check out these screenshots, I mean I haven't tried it but this ribbon thingy doesn't strike me as intuitive as the menu paradigm we're used to.

    Actually, when you click on "Edit" on the google page, you can actually drag and drop the sections of the page.

    On a side note, it's interesting to see that one of the three stocks quotes initially put on start.com's page was GOOG!

    Actually, I find that when one window completely overlaps the other, two alternatives are in order:
    1- exposé, that's what it's for (usually mapped to a hot corner).
    2- if you're just moving files around in the finder, you can use the spring-loaded folders.
