How many of those 25k affiliates "forgot" to include their affiliate income?
When you make over a certain amount from Amazon sales, they file a 1099 form with the IRS. It is not easy to get around paying the taxes on that income. If you are making a small enough amount to avoid the 1099 form, then you're likely not a threat anyway.
The average savings account is $20,000? I don't know anyone with more than $5000 in savings, and the average people in the US save per year is less than $500.
That said, these rental places should be avoided like the plague. At least use a low-interest credit card if you must buy on credit.
You're listing the specs for LaserDisc as if they were always the same. The 70's discs all had analog stereo audio (although many movies of the time were mono.) In the early 80's they added the digital audio tracks, but the analog FM tracks were also still present for backwards compatibility with older players that couldn't decode the digital PCM tracks. Most players capable of decoding the digital audio could output Dolby 2.0 Stereo and also had CD playback. In the 90's they added a 5.1 AC-3 track using one of the analog tracks, leaving a mono analog track for backwards compatibility. (By that point very few original analog players were still around.) You needed a player with the AC-3 RF output and a compatible receiver or decoder box to actually make use of the AC-3 track.
All LaserDiscs have a composite analog video signal encoded on them, however some were recorded frame by frame (CAV) and others in a stream (CLV). You could fit more content on the CLV discs, so it was more common, but it could not do trick-play like freeze and slo-mo, at least in the early players.
I still own all of my original LaserDisc equipment, covering all of these advances. Of course, the only thing I use it for is to watch old copies of un-ruined Star Wars movies and a couple of other titles that have never made it to DVD.
Nothing works except trick play without a subscription. Without a sub there is no Netflix, program guide, season passes, MRV, or any other feature on the device. You "received lifetime service" because you paid for it. This is still a cost.
I said you need an AppleTV instead of a TiVo. You only brought up the Mac mini later.
You would have to hack the TiVo to use a generic drive case. A stock TiVo HD or Premiere only works with the WD MyDVR Expander. And a Mac mini is a not a TiVo, is it now?
The TiVo Premiere is a fine device, but it will not work with "any external hard drive" and won't play any iTunes content with DRM. You have a to use a TiVo-approved specific (over-priced) external drive. You also have to pay a monthly fee. If you want to play iTunes content downloaded from Apple, you need an AppleTV. The devices' abilities only really overlap on Netflix playback, where the TiVo interface is really outdated, compared to almost any other platform (Apple, Roku, PS3, Wii, etc.)
Why do the websites of lunatics always seem to be based on the same template from some horribly awful site made for Mosaic in 1995? Does crazy dictate design? Or does each wackjob just copy the code from the previous wackjob? Or maybe these sites are all made by the same escapee from the insane asylum? Maybe they are still in the asylum, and the computer in there is running Windows 3 on a dialup modem?
You need to pay for the 3 year warranty. Most Dell stuff we have (over 15,000 systems) breaks in the second or third year. We generally replace machines on a 3-4 year cycle. In the 4th year, the only thing that seems to fail is the hard drive.
I wondered the same thing. I have a working Apple//e, an original Mac 128k, and a functional Lisa computer in this building right now. And these aren't even the oldest computers in the house, just some of the ones made by Apple.
It's not a minute or two at 2:30. The school zones here run from 2:30-4:30. Do the kids take two hours to cross the street? It's ridiculous. And I can kind of understand the school zone in front of the elementary school, but the other one that's apparently near some high school, which is too far off the main road to even see, where I've never seen one kid EVER, even though I've been through there at all times of the day, is just a stupid money generator for the city. There's always at least 4 cop cars there after 2:30. Why aren't they there the rest of the day? Instead of paying four "Dallas constables" or whatever their silly title is, why not just use the wasted $160k/yr and build a bridge across the street? They don't seem to have any other purpose. I've never seen a "constable" doing anything but sitting in a school zone. As for the cameras, further up on my drive home they have a couple of red-light cameras. They cause the same brake-slamming. And the silly thing doesn't even take pictures from the front, so they can't prove who was driving the car anyway. How about they go arrest the assholes who can't seem to figure out how to drive in one lane, or who drive 90 on the freeway, or who think you're supposed to stop 300 feet from the red light and then inch up 6 inches at a time, only to stop 3 feet past the line, blocking the crosswalk?
Nobody slams on their brakes? Yeah right. People around here don't know how to drive, or they probably just can't read English. If some kids are dumb, take them out of the gene pool.
I hate school zones. Are these kids too stupid to stay out of the road? Is this the only place where children ever cross the street? What about all the accidents from the dumbass that slams on his brakes from 45 to 20 when he notices the school zone at the last second? Why can't the same idiot go back to 45 when the zone ends? The only reason these stupid zones exist is so cops can make money writing tickets. If the kids are too dumb to stay out of the road, then let darwin do his job.
Newer models of the Apple AirPort Extreme have an option for a guest login, with reduced access, etc.

This story is bullshit.

Verizon is not going to add any new cities. You're lucky. All I can get is Time Warner or AT&T.

Seriously, what is your problem?
Come back when the drugs wear off. Thanks

People still leave signatures on? I turned them off years ago. I forgot you could even have a signature here.

You can use a blackberry to surf the web. It works almost as well as using a 286 running Windows 3, but shows slightly less content.
You're getting ripped off. HDMI cables shouldn't cost more than $5.

Since the prison sentence for copyright infringement exceeds that of many violent crimes, I would say it is a fair comparison.

Anyone with an iPhone can remotely disable their phone, as long as they have signed up for MobileMe service and enabled the feature.

I have a iMac G3 400 Mhz that I use as an iTunes server running Leopard.
The minimum specifications to install Leopard is a G4 running at 867mhz. How did you install it on a G3/400?
