I've been using computer hardware since 1977. I've seen about 300 popped capacitors in that time. However, about 290 of them were found on Dell Optiplex GX270/GX280 motherboards between 2006-2008.
There's no such thing as a 6gb iPod. Apple has never sold one in that size. And there has never been an iPod Classic available in 60gb; Apple hasn't sold a 60gb model in several years. The current models (of iPod Classic) come in 80gb and 160gb only. The iPod nano comes in 4gb or 8gb sizes.
So you spent two hours looking for something that doesn't exist.
Maybe people have realized that $160 isn't too bad of a price for a new 30gb hard drive to repair their 5G iPod that has a failed disk? They use the same part...
The only thing better about this box is the price. Everything else is lacking in some way. But not enough that it will keep me from buying one of these for my house. I already have a Series3, which I upgraded to 500gb. I also want an HD box in my Den, and I don't need a glo remote or THX or the OLED for that room. This new box is perfect for my second HD TiVo. The only thing I'll do is upgrade the drive to a decent size. I can just re-use the 250gb I pulled out of the Series3...
I pay $1.50 per cable card where I live, costing me $3 for each TiVo. They charge me $13 to rent their crappy DVR. The TiVo costs me about $8 a month, so the difference is pretty much a wash. So the only real extra cost is buying the TiVo. It was a stretch for me to get my Series3, but with this new box I can afford to put one in the den and bedroom too.
Also, the new TiVo HD supports M-cards (multi stream) so you will only need one cablecard if your cable company supports them.
Under your scenario, only one person has to sit there for two hours making a copy. That one guy can take the new file he just created and upload a torrent. From there, it will be on 10 million computers in a few days.
DRM is dumb. And paying for digital bits is a waste of money. (No matter what the RIAA shills in the thread have to say.)
But if you bought the thing on iTunes, you knew it was a DRM-encumbered low-bit-rate POS when you got it. Don't whine to me now about how the DRM sucks. If you feel that way, then you should have bought the fucking CD. At least you get a nice case with artwork to put on your shelf. (Of course, if it is a DRM-CD, then fuck 'em. Download it from allofmp3.com.)
Apple Retail employees get trained? On what? How to walk to the back of the store and ask someone else every single question? The people that work there are clueless.
In the pilot when they fly the Vipers around the "museum" as a demonstration, the theme music from the original series plays for a bit.
How can a TV episode from 1980 be a ripoff of a movie from 1985?
Looks more like another Chariot... http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Space-Chariot-Plastic-Assembly/dp/B0018RUNJM
There is no 12" MacBook either.

There are no hyphens in Mac OS X or in Mac OS 9. Would you talk about Windows-95 or Windows-Vista?
So, he's been trying to finish college since 1998?? I guess he can pay for it now.
I think he was in high school when he started the site...

Dragon*Con was last week...

And as I read this thread, there is a huge AT&T banner ad at the top of my screen...
Naming an unwritten pilot that has not been picked up by any channel does not make a "3rd series."
Learn how to read. "So your no different" is what didn't make sense.
when it comes time to pay for all the police activity today
Don't they pay the police the same amount whether they are sitting around eating donuts or running around the city actually doing some work?
And these things were up all over the city for at least two weeks before some fool decided one of them was a bomb.

That crappy cable-provided DVR is like using Windows. A TiVo is like Linux (and it actually *runs* on Linux.)
This "new" patent is four years old.
The whole thing is a lawsuit waiting to happen. It's one huge copyright infringement. It's also one of like 5000 "post your crappy video" websites.
What a waste of money. I thought Google was smart. I also thought 1998 was over. How sad.
Um, you can plug a japanese plug into a US/Canada outlet and it just works. (Yes, Japan is 100v and we are 110/120, but it still works anyway.)
