So from my understanding of what you said, people who believe in god do good deeds because it pleases their god? While it may be them expressing their joy from what you said, you also said "because we believe it is pleasing to god when we do so". Is that because he is pleased because of the good deed you have done or because of you doing it out of joy and selflessness towards your fellow man?
Haven't these people learned that they are just going to cause a much bigger problem then they are trying to solve? It saddens me to see how they are going after everything but the cause of it. Banning paintballing isn't going to solve a thing, stuff like this is still going to happen. Next thing you know they are going to try and ban all FPS games over there. Get to the root of the problem, not something they "think" is the cause.
Did you even read the article? There is technically no crime as they knew he had it setup this way from the get go and didn't do anything about it. The network is running perfectly still and there are no problems. So this guy has done pretty much nothing of which he is being charged with. Granted when they did say they wanted/needed (did they really need it?) access he should have given it over. Him not wanting to give them access because he fears they might screw it up and cause him major problems is a good reason, but one he should have told him. Maybe he should have said he would if he could supervise what they are doing, so as to prevent them from screwing anything up. Like have them submit changes through him or something.
Nice troll there buddy. Noticed that you posted as an anonymous coward instead of letting people know who you are. Is that because your to ashamed of your own opinion on this or is that because you don't want to get flamed for your obvious troll/bs opinion?
Common sense would dictate that if your buying something that retails for over $1000 and your getting it for the stupid low price of $50 something isn't right. I will admit though that at times you don't know though when you buy something and the price of what your getting isn't to far fetched, say buying something for $400 when it retails for $550 and it's used, that would seem reasonable to anyone.
Actually, that person can be charged with a crime, receiving stolen property. That whole investigating thing has to with if you were paid or not. You are not being paid to find your own stolen property. The RIAA paid another company to investigate for them. The key word is "company". IE a for profit organization. Thats where the whole "unlicensed investigators" thing comes in.
You do know that dell does ship an install disc and a drivers disc with their computer right? So once you get it you could just "surprise" re-install it yourself and this time not install all the fun "optional" software. Saves you that $25 right here.
Your right, i should have been more specific instead of just saying Linux. It would effect those who run KDE. I don't see this really being able to effect those who are smart and use the standard limited user account in Linux. Those who aren't smart and logged as root as their default user i could see being effected though.
Thats a good question. There's a good chance it could be. Then again with the speed that updates/patch's/fix's come out for Linux, if it does it'll be fixed in a relatively short time.
Have you even read the article? This isn't about people hating cops. It's about people hating cops who abuse their authority. This cop in the article was off duty, IE not on the job and not able to give the "i was on duty so it's ok for me to do that" bs reason. Doesn't matter if he's on the job or not, he's got to follow the law when it comes to driving (and no i'm not saying he can't speed to call he got from dispatch as thats doing his job there). Being on the job or not, if he's not being called to a scene or chasing a person who's performed something illegal, he's required to drive the speed limit. Thats the issue here, not your "everyone is bashing cops" rant theory there.
This case isn't the perfect example of something "simple", but it's what prompted me to say something about it. I just hate it when someone patents a "technique" or something that is something that everone, given they are looking for a way to do something, would come up with pretty easily on their own. Much like these damn bio-tech company's and schools that are doing gene research who are getting patents on gene sequences that naturally occure in the human body. How the hell can they patent that stuff? Just becuase you were the first to map it doesn't give you the right to stop someone else from using that sequence for something in some sorta cure for something else.
God i hate all these people who have the most simple, easy to come to conclusion implimentation patents. It just pisses me off big time that company's patent this stuff and then cry wolf when someone else comes to the same conclusion on their own. It's just someone wanting to make money and nothing more.
I was just about to post this. So far this movie has been the best one i've seen that demonstrates things most accurately. Although them saying html is programing code for programs and not webpages did get it wrong though.
While yes, that is the logical thing to do. It would be rather time consuming to do so. If you live in an apartment complex that could possibly narrow it down, but then it would also mean that there could be about 20-30 places or more to find it.
Um.... How would you find out who's AP it is? Granted some people set the ssid of the wap with their last name, but some people just leave it as the default one, like microsoft or linksys.
Sure, as soon as this is posted the site goes down for essential maintenance. What ever happened to those good days when sites were down because they were slashdotted?
What car? I don't have a car nor a license.
I have the best invention in the world that can help you out. There is this device that you punch a things called buttons that have these numbers printed on them. You dial a combination of them and they will then a connect you to another such device that will allow you to talk to a person thats across the city, state, or country. Isn't technology just wonderfull?:D Call eb games, gamestop, target, walmart, kmart, hastings, and what ever place in your town that sells them.
Well goto a few of those sites that were mentioned by me or bowronch and they will tell you what you need to look for on the box to tell what firmware version will be on the psp. i can't remember exactly atm but it has to do with there being an A near the numbers and barcode.
Well i'm not sure about everyone, but the first thing i think about is that this is somewhat of a good and bad idea. Good idea in the place that being able to download more games is good, but bad in the sense that if you have to purchase them people will turn to pirating them as it would be easier to put on the psp and cheaper (in the pirate sence).

If Kin is dead, would Windows Phone 7 be the next of kin?
I see what you did there.
Obviously you weren't paying any attention to the last season at all. It was all explained what/who the black smoke monster was.

Why would you want to goto another store to get a thumbdrive? That makes no sense, the company your mad at is sony, not the store you bought it from.
This is also very true. I know some friends who do this. Broken stuff always sells for cheap online.

You can check out www.psp-hacks.com for some interesting stuff to do with your psp. That is if you have version 1.5 of the firmware on your psp.
