    Sounds like he was talking about the opposite of a hyperlink, a hyperanchor. Basicly the same idea as a COME FROM instruction, in that the destination location has some inforation which indicates where a link to it comes from. Of course it will involve a lot more overhead to make a browser work with it, ie it will have to index just about every page on the net before you will be presented with any links on a page, but if it gets around the patent(s), use it.

    If these senators and congresscritters would stop and think for just a moment they would be unanimously behind the research. Consider that such advances would enable the ability to create duplicate replacement organs that could not be rejected among other thans that would help extend human lifespan. Such processes most likely be heiniously expensive to (start with at least) and the only people who could afford to get it done would be rich powerful individuals (such as the aforementioned members of government). All you need to do is quietly point this out to them and they might just reconsider where they will cast their votes.

    I guess you wouldn't be needing a window kit. However the possiblities of liquid cooling are greatly improved over a current case..

    Actually I thought what it was found guilty was the use of a monopoly in one area (operating systems) to gain a monopoly in another area (web browsers/applications/etc).

    Thats a great set of books, however you've probably passed all the bits worth reading at that point. The last book is almost purely socio-political issues, interesting if your into that thing but to most of us on here its no longer interesting things about the exploring/settling of a hostile planet.

    I don't find freezing the most reliable method, it tends to make things brittle. The last smuggler I had shipped frozen got dropped by Unionized handlers at the Alderaan starport and shatters into several thousand pieces.

    Its pretty damn cold at 30,000ft, I think the only turkey's you would find at that altitude are most likely to be frozen.

    The missiles lack the velocity to overtake the SR-71 Actually most missiles do travel fast enough to overtake the SR-71. However their range would be lacking enough that the sr-71 could simply turn away from the missile and keep flying away from the slowly catching up missile till it ran out of fuel.
