In order for the email address to be "valid", under SPF, it'd have to be the mail server for the domain.
So, the spammer would have to send the spam, in bulk, FROM the user's computer, to their ISPs email server, for forwarding.
I don't know about you, but my email server is pretty indiscriminate about who's email it checks. Further, and I know I'm not alone in this, I use tarpitting, compiled in, in case my server ever does get rooted.
SPF is being adopted, because it's benifits are obvious. I, for one, would like to stop receiving these huge emails only to find out they're yet another email virus doing the rounds.
I have a 9700pro which I love under windows, but which gave me grey hairs installing under linux.
My next card will very likely be nvidia. I say very likely, because I don't upgrade often, so if ATI manages to get some decent drivers together that are easy to install, I may stick with them.
However, were I to upgrade tomorrow, it'd be nvidia. I'm simply disgusted with ATI right now.

There is one subtle difference between linux and window admins: There is a lot of window software that is written to be run as administrator. Finding all the files to give permissions to causes quite a headache.
Linux, I feel, has a better system at the moment. However, as this is the developers fault, I see no reason why linux would be immune from this problem.
If your front end servers are not exchange, I can't see a reason why you'd want this, as licensed. The objective of spam is to be delivered. That's it. Once it hits your server, the objective has been completed, whether or not it's filtered by a second stage server is irrelevant.
And how, exactly, do you prevent people from using encryption?
Hell, there are many ways to even HIDE the fact that encryption is being used. Imagine that on a grander scale ( music streams with hidden conversations, perhaps? ).
No. Guns are physical objects, and in regards to "gangsta"s ( Thurstan Howle III accent please, pinky up ), should rightfully only be sold to adults ( ie: "grownups" ). Encryption is a whole different kettle of fish.
I never do. It's all crap. Seriously, from a bussiness perspective, would successful research companies be successful if they always reported the bitter truth to the companies that pay for the research?
I've used debian, so don't take this as an ignorant critism. I can't stand it. Yes, apt-x is cool, there is no middle ground. What if I want a semi-new package, but I don't want to crash my machine using it? Stable is a couple years stale already, unstable is just that, and testing says it all. That leaves me to compile from source, and if I'm going to do that, might as well use slack.
Package management under redhat/fedore has become much better. I don't often run into dependancy problems, and when I do, it's often because I'm trying to get an out of the way package that isn't in a yum repo. Which I can make myself, by the way, with little effort.
Debian maybe what all the cool kids use, but I'll take fedora or RHE when I need to get work done.
Where it not for Microsoft, that may have very well been the case today. And in fact, that may still very well be the case in the future. Near future. I can tell you there are only 2 applications I need to be able to replace where I work before this can happen ( and when I replace those applications, it WILL happen, guaranteed ).
I've got karma to burn.
Shizzle is not a word. It's a flag. To the rest of the world that the speaker of said word is a fucking dumbass.
It ranks right up there with "bling-bling".
Seeing how you actually tried to use it in a serious sentence, I figured someone should tell you.
Given the angle of the blast, we can deduce that Han did not, in fact, shoot guedo. There must have been a second gunner!
On the grassy knoll, of course.
but a title like this will obviously be able to break in on the strength of its franchise
I dunno about you, but I'm pretty well sick of the "Star Trek" name right about now. Too much crap in recent years, too stagnant.
This game will simply be a rehash of the worn out plots used on the series.

Understanding SPF as I do, I can't see how any one expected this "end the spam problem".
;)
It'll cut down on problems where forged senders are the main symptom, dramatically. That both includes viruses ( virii ) and some spammers.
But, as is stated, it's completely possible for spammers to keep their dns records updated too.
Now, if only we could get the whois accurate.
Not the only one.

1) You do not talk about nightclub :)
Are you foolish enough to rely on a single source for your opinions? Are you foolish enough to base ANY opinions on a news source?
In that case, here's this press release, straight from "My Ass" Inc.
This just in: You must pay all money to me.
I am reminded of a certain phrase:
The lottery is just a tax on fools.

Well, let's just settle on "Out of the way" then.
As long as I don't have to "take the pepsi challenge" to get to the next level, I'm happy.
..keep the ads somewhat tasteful and out of my way, then who cares?
And by tasteful, I mean no flashing crap at me, alternating contrasting colors. Or, say, flash.
No, actually, it won't.

I've had issues with it. I had put my camera pictures on it, having used reiser for a while no problems.
:)
Then, a power outage or two later, and the partition was mountable, but had severe data corruption.
Fortunately, I learned years ago about the importance of backups.
Well, since Cheney is actually the one running the country from an undisclosed location, it's *Bush* who is the offsite backup.
Yeah. That makes a lot of sense, actually.
Actually, there is a spec in jabber that allows for this, and further, there is a working client out there: psi.
I would mod you funny just for the real genius referrence.
It could have been any quote, mind you.
That'll last for a few years. I remember the same argument for DVDs and CDs before them.
You really think it'll take that long? Unless they increase the format size by an order of magnitude, broadband speeds will catch up within the year.
What, we already have service in the 20-30mbit range.

When did you stop trusting sponsored 'research'?
I never do. It's all crap. Seriously, from a bussiness perspective, would successful research companies be successful if they always reported the bitter truth to the companies that pay for the research?
In the old days they couldn't even afford clothes
And your problem with this lies...where?
It'd dramatically improve attendance, I can guarantee that
AAAAhhh, debian snob! ;)

We've still got a few more revisions before we get to see the real name.

Or very very watered down beer.
;)
I was out there for a conference ( Salt Lake ), and very dissappointed in the local nightlife
