    There might be a "the" missing before the word "plant" appears, but this sentence clearly states that biodiesel is made from some giant plant...

    From my limited knowledge of everything, I think that the submarines have to resurface to transmit because the signal gets bounced of off the watersurface. If they wanted to transmit to another submarine that might work, even when completely submerged.
    Anybody more knowledgable care to explain ?

    Yes. The Ogg container format was designed to allow different media types to be multiplexed together; Theora will be mixed with Vorbis audio in an Ogg container to encode movies.

    There is, as others have pointed out, but cleverly hidden in gconf. Not what I would call intuitive at all. There ought to be an option in the prefs for something fundamental as that. Even Win98 gives you that choice without diving into the registry.

    But how will they be notified? I mean the problem probably isn't to be notified, but rather to be notified early enough. Especially if you take the idea even further and have the company clean out your whole house of things not-for-family-viewing (drugs, blow-up dolls, etc). If the PDCs come 3 days after you die, some embarrassing secrets might already have been discovered.
    Ideas anyone ?

    No, from what I've read, the Mars Rover has no way of cleaning it's solar panels, which means dust will settle on it and eventually render them useless for producing power.

    You heard'em, slashdot (exept for a small minority) want's you to code to standards.
    The mentioning of 'coding' made me think a little though:
    Lot's of people refer to writing webpages as 'programming HTML', I think that's a great Idea! Make the next big markup language a binary format. If you didn't write it properly it won't compile. On the other hand, where would our beloved slashdot go... :-)
