So, I'm thinking if we make enough noise, perhaps she'll get her job back. I created a Facebook group with that goal in mind... Perhaps if we set a precedent, companies will think twice about canning someone because of a private joke.

Genetics, environment, and experiences all contribute to how a person is sexually attracted to others.
As far as I can tell, this is two thirds correct. Environment and experiences, sure. Tell me, when did they find the gay gene? Or is this disinformation?
Sure, this gets a funny mod, but its definitely insightful. These are all legitimate complaints. The problem is not that the **AA wont get out of the dark ages of publishing, but rather that they are not needed anymore . When an organization (such as a major music publisher) comes to the realization that it, in its entirety, is obselete.. what do you do?
The fact of the matter is that p2p (and by that I mean the design of the Internet, not filesharing apps) has eliminated the primary purpose of publishers - widespread distribution. Not that I feel bad for them at all, but it is bound to be a painful transition when an entire industry is replaced by a small shell script... er.... web service:D
I guess i'm just confused.. i mean.. myself, and almost everyone i associate with that are christians, is obsessed with science. I have the same dislike for "bible thumping" anti-science "hicks" as everyone else on slashdot - the problem is, i've met very, very few. I have a feeling this negative stereotype is being propogated by people with ulterior motives, to be honest. It just plain isnt true - the majority of educated christians value science immensely. Science is the only way to truly see the beauty of God's creation, and thus, understand him.
I would like to point out that that all hydrogen fuel cells generate dihydrogen monoxide as their principle biproduct, which is an even worse greenhouse gas.
I'd also like to point out that furry cute little rabbits emit both C02 and dihydrogen monoxide... simultaneously!
You know, I made this post completely expecting it to be explained in the article, which I SWEAR I was actually going to read... but apparently they want us to trust them, as the article is blank.
Either that or they're making some eco-friendly statement, kind of like "The Day After Tomorrow"'s ".. i've never seen the air look so clean!"
I love the extremely scientific description of the mystery cartridge that has no toxic byproducts.. especially after taking half of the article to describe how the competition is less "green" in great detail!
Coal is 3-9ppm uranium. Burning coal has pumped more radioactive waste into our environment than all nuclear testing and accidents combined. Burning coal has also been the cause of millions of deaths from differing lung diseases. Coal is by far the least safe alternative.
Whats wrong with something sitting in a hole for 40,000 years? Do you honestly believe that, in as little as 200 years, we wont be able to move a few million tons of material out into space and, say, toss it into a large thermonuclear furnace (the sun perhaps?).
Sure, you can build huge windfarms, you can build huge solar arrays. The issue of cost is not one of greed. When you suggest the nation dedicate so many resources to a certain goal, that takes away from other goals. It's a question of relative worth - when the comparative benefits are.. well.. slim at best to non-existant at realistic, why waste twice as many resources?
IIRC, it still counts as double blind if the researchers and participants dont know what it is they are participating in. So, for example, one set of researchers doesnt know what the other set is doing, or even that there is another set.
Also, IIRC, harm was explained as violent tendencies towards women, distraction, addictive behavior, even decreased scores on intelligence tests.
> Let's start by calling your ideologies wrong. How's that?
Sounds great, except for the "let's" part. It is your right to disagree, but it is everyone elses right to decide for themselves.
Regardless of whether or not belief is held in a particular religion, there are a LOT of good ideas to be found in those ideologies - they exist for a reason.
Last i checked, this post was the definition of troll AND flamebait. Wake up slashdot - even if you disagree with religion, a lot of the practices and followings make sense. There have been definitive double-blind studies that porn is unhealthy for anyone, much less children. Studies on violence are less definitive but definitely show trends. Stop attempting to change our freedoms into license to do what you please - there IS such a thing as right and wrong.

I know this is horribly wrong, but apparently i'm dyslexic... i read "hostperm" as "hotsperm".
If you mod parent up, Skype will become more powerful than TFA could ever imagine...
Will this cool Skype's rapid progress into the business arena?"
Not if a first post on slashdot links to http://www.skype.com/
Now were you R'ingTFA, or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?

I am sure many amateurs like myself would prefer NO dust storms on Mars while it is so close to the Earth
My thoughts exactly. What is so fortunate about having your perfect view obscured? Was the OP expecting Twister in Dolby 5.1?
I'm sorry, maybe i'm just missing something.... what science is being ignored?
I'm sure our linking to them will help immensely with the slowness!
Good job mods, how on earth is this off topic? Completely relevant and correct.

... from the other two raptors you didnt even know were there. And they DO have disembowling claws, unlike this obvious decoy.
Just a few problems with your argument.
