Corporations are people; but they aren't a person. They should have all the rights that a collection of people would have. Much like a union should have, a religious group, and those practicing their right "to assemble".
For a while there, I was wondering why your girlfriend was divorcing you. Then I thought she was divorcing you to become "just a girlfriend". Only then did I realize that your girlfriend has a husband that she is divorcing. Still not sure if you were a "significant other" in some love triangle or just another girlfriend yourself.
Because the Americans pretty much see it as human right to defend oneself from possible government tyranny. You know, just in case the government wants to run roughshod over its people.
FTFY
And before you say, "that will never happen", think of all the other times in history it has happened and how history repeats itself. And before you say, "the government has bombs", do you think bombs will win the "war on terror"?
Because if someone wrongs you and has $1m, you sue for $100k. If someone wrongs you and has $1b, you sue for $100m. It is about the other's assets, not the actual value lost.
Learn the ins-outs of FileNet and you'll have a job in a minute. Do the same for other Enterprise systems and you are unique. There are companies sitting on positions that have been open for 1+ years for specific skills...and they pay $150k+. They are just too stupid to realize that anyone with relevant experience can pick up something like FileNet pretty quickly.
I original brought up the 4C situation with a thread a few days ago. I wound up looking up how salt water density is affected.
Here is what I found: 1. Salt water freezes at -2C 2. When it freezes, it doesn't freeze with salt in it, so the ice is fresh water 3. Average temp of the ocean is 3.5C (some idiot contested my assumption that the ocean is colder than 4C) 4. Salt water reaches maximum density at -2C.
This all came up when someone said that a warming ocean causes it to expand, since it becomes less dense. I called out that it may become more dense since water does from 0C to 4C. I eventually looked it up and corrected myself.
Or cut off my finger and put it in prison. Since my finger was the one that pulled the trigger, just like the executive is taking all the responsibility for the company.
That is actually a wonderful idea. BP would essentially shut down. Their employees will have to go work elsewhere. They would go out of business and better companies would take their place and good employees. It would be a natural deterrent to big companies.
Option E: Buy Garmin. Don't get criticized for shipping jobs overseas by running a mapping company from Europe like Tom Tom. Plus Garmin is better than everyone else, with their full suite of GPS-related products.
NOAA says the average oceanic water temperature is 3.5C. However, it also says that salt water gets more and more dense as it get colder...unlike fresh water from 0C to 4C. So I found my answer indirectly.
We need to stop blaming Corporations for being greedy, as people are greedy by nature. We need to stop blaming Representatives for being greedy, as people are greedy by nature. Most Corporate greed is damaging because of laws written in their favor.
The best way to solve this problem isn't to patch it. We need to get rid of Representatives as we know it. We need random representation. Use statistics, scientific polling, and the general population. Then the Corporations and Special Interests would have to lobby everyone. Which is called marketing. Which I am fine with.
If memory serves me right, as water heats from 0 to 4 degrees C, it contracts. I would assume that most of the water on earth is less than 4C. I don't know how density of water changes when it is salt water.
1) Mandatory auto insurance is up to each State; not the Federal government 2) Auto insurance is only mandatory of you have a car and drive it on the roads; which makes sense 3) Health insurance is now mandatory if you have a job; which makes absolutely no sense. A job has no direct relationship with personal health. Just goes to show how backwards our laws are. It is like the combination of social security, medicare, medicaid, unemployment insurance, and the minimum wage. They are all in place for the simple reason of getting people enough money to live. Why don't we just wipe those laws out and give people enough money to live?
Would it be a "long arm" if Chinese law requires US book stores to have non-Chinese sections for all books that China sensors? They have to refuse Chinese residents entry to their censored section?
Who cares if purchasing wine was legal or illegal in the US. Use the same example, but for pot in the Netherlands. The InTrade transactions are on Irish soil.
I mis-worded the sentence. No need to go haywire. Can a foreign government encroach on the business within another sovereign country? They should not be stopping a business from doing business with certain people. They should be stopping the people from doing business with that company. There is a HUGE difference.
No person anywhere has any kind of right to life. But many governments are there to attempt to provide that right. A business should have the right to serve any person they want. This is similar to the US going into Columbia to stop drug trafficking. You stop it in your own country! You don't violate another's sovereignty to attempt to solve domestic issues and enforce domestic laws. This is the kind of crap that motivates terrorists to attack the US.
I would have to disagree then. This is a simple question of whether government controls their territory and the people in it or controls their territory and residents, no matter where they are located or conducting business. I wouldn't expect the US government to prosecute fraud when I conduct business in Prague. I would expect that to be in the CR jurisdiction, even if both ends of the transaction were US residents.

Oh the humanity....

Not if you are applying for a job only you are qualified to do.

So if the Great Rift Valley can take on 100 ft of water, how much does that lower the ocean? 2 ft?
Salt water does not.

You are only considering surface temperature. The assumption was not bizarre at all:

Not once did I see the compound word "digital asset" until your comment.
So my tiny little heart isn't an asset to my body? They are all assets. You are only arguing about how important that asset is to the business.
You don't want Japanese products arriving in the US on December 7th...
But InTrade is regulated by Ireland
Ok; reword:
Would it be a "long arm" if Chinese law requires US book stores to have non-Chinese sections for all books that China sensors? They have to refuse Chinese residents entry to their censored section?
It is very relevant.
Who cares if purchasing wine was legal or illegal in the US. Use the same example, but for pot in the Netherlands. The InTrade transactions are on Irish soil.

True; I was just calling out that it isn't US law being applied to US residents. It is US law indirectly being applied to people currently in the US.
I would have to disagree then. Then why can futures be bought on the London Stock Exchange? Are they not just gambling? And isn't that allowing US residents gamble online?
