    both the *AA's don't have future plans they just keep on using the same old thing and never doing anything new.

    If the RIAA had embraced Napster or at least MP3's selling singles in 1999 then the single music download piece wouldn't have happened as badly.

    instead they waited half a decade, and lost a whole generation because of their stupid games.

    Sweden has very very liberal rape laws. All she has to say is not without a condom, and if you enter her without one, you can go to jail.

    You don't have to like their laws or think they are fair, but if your ever in sweden you have to obey them.

    What line does the hardware end and software begins. Why don't you take a good look at just how reprogamable your "hardware" actually is before making such stupid statements

    your PC doesn't include a radio transmitter with varying output that must talk perfectly with other transceivers in order to prevent widespread jamming.

    Can you image a virus that turned every cell phone it infected into a jammer? That is currently possible with today's smart phones once you jailbreak/root/crack it. Or how about a software hack that can selectively disable your phone?

    Current PC's are covered in massive amounts of hacks and cracks that distribute the spam, do you really want your mobile being open to that kind of attack?

    The last time alcohol was banned it simply became more expensive. Gangs propped up to feed it since for the majority of people the only way to get clean water was to drink alcohol.

    I am all for banning alcohol, but as a society we are heavily addicted to it. do you really want to see 200 million people going through withdrawl by banning it again?

    Cigarettes are if not effectively banned effectively shunned. They cost 100 times what they are worth, yet people still smoke because they have no self control, no self will, and no motivation to learn otherwise.

    a huge majority of the population don't have the self control needed to quit an addicted substance. Some 30% of the population will abuse their substance of choice regularly. Do you really want roads full of crack heads? Do you want to die because a stoner's reaction was so slowed down that he didn't actually press the break and plowed through an intersection?

    Those who do drugs in anyform may be members of society but they really aren't fully functional members. Just look at Charlie Sheen. he doesn't think he has a problem, even though he was getting ready to do several 8 balls of coke and was on a three day bender with hookers. 90% of American's thinks that's a good thing. Apparently you do too.

    I am connected all the time but I have self control too.

    That means I don't whip out my phone and check my email, text, or even answer the phone just because it goes off. I can ignore it and live quite happily. I rarely respond immediately to text messages, so my friends know that the best way is to leave a message and wait.

    Of course I don't have a twitter account because I am not a twit, nor am I narcissistic enough for facebook.

    You can't make everyone happy. At the time Saddam was the lesser of the evils in the middle east.

    The only ones who were expecting different results were the bloggers who just happen to be people you can type really really loudly on the internwebs.

    For most people it didn't matter as they were covered or had decent coverage by AT&T. Personally I find it more telling that Verizon has plans to throttle heavy user before launch. While I don't expect a big difference in service it just might happen in a few markets.

    That's right apple always overcharges for a premium and over price their gadgets anyways.

    However Since the xoom is $150 more than the similar ipad maybe people should stop assuming that apple overcharges for hardware. To Date not one tablet competitor has been able to meet apple's price point by a significant margin. The galaxy Tab is close but then again it has a 3" smaller screen.

    that's just it the shuttle has never done one the of the key features it was designed for. bring back to earth the really big satellites.

    Personally I say NASA keeps one shuttle, one tank, one pair of SRB's, etc ready to go, and in 5 years when it is time to retire the hubble for the last time. go retrieve it.

    Every Astronaut, scientist, and engineer will gladly come back to NASA for a short time to make it happen.

    Well That and so far his defense is Swedish law is unfair and not english or Australian law and therefore he won't get a fair trial. At least he stopped trying to blame the USA for the case.

    If you don't like the laws of the country don't visit it. Ignorance of the law is never innocence.

    Rape laws are very confusing, you have some places where it isn't rape unless you can get the men who are doing the raping to testify for you. To places like sweden where the woman is almost always right.

    Well right now if you don't have a nexus phone you have about a 75% chance of never getting an update at all period, not even bug fixes.

    Any android phone running 2.1 is similar to IOS 2.0 That is how far back it goes. Zero iphones are sold with 3.0 now let alone 2.0

    I shouldn't have to destroy my warranty just to get bug fixes. That is what you currently get from android.
    It pisses me off too, I want an android phone but I also want the manufacturer to stand behind it for longer than 30 seconds.

    That's like saying 90% of iphones are running IOS 2.0 and greater.

    2.1 was released 2 years ago.
    2.3 was released last year and yet the majority of android handsets sold right now are with 2.2 and 2.1

    When Apple releases it appears in the delivery channels with in a month.

    At best Android handsets are 6-9 months behind google with most handsets running 12-18 months behind, If they ever get updates at all.

    That is the android problem. Maybe when the phone features stabilize a bit more in 2-3 years will it be less of an issue, but right now it is a bloody mess.

    I ran across the mother of my first real love. We broke up because we fought to much, it was mutual. 10 years later her mother was holding a massive grudge against me still. When i asked about it to other people who new her they told me of how she had already began planning the wedding.

    Sometimes all you have to do is tell a woman the truth(that your not right for each other) and they get very pissed off.

    Here is the trick though. only a small percentage of any given group is actually capable of organizing even part of that group.

    After a while it will always be the same 1% of users who are organizing things and guiding the rest into doing something Those are the "founders" while for 4chan's anonymous that group might be a few hundred people over the last 15 years only a dozen or two will be current.

    What I find interesting is that idiots who attack with anonymous use facebook. Now that is a contradiction that is perfect for 4chan users.

    all you have to do is cut the tip off a finger. Or you know they make things called fingerless gloves with mittens that flip over them. Just have someone sew one for a single finger.

    I would be more concerned with battery life. NFL games take longer than Baseball for less action.

    your post has nothing to do with the GP's.

    He was saying how the majority of trades aren't interested in the companies but whether or not the stock will go up or down 30 seconds from now and how much can i make from that movement.

    less 15% of investors invest for long term companies, and even less hold on to said stock for longer than a month. Most investments are only 30 second actions of buy let it go up 1 cent and sell it again. actual company performance in that face is entirely unrealistic and unnecessary.

    What is needed is a minimum of a 24 hour hold time for all stocks. Kill the day traders that poison the country's economy.

    That's because there have been very few high profile mistakes for the media to latch onto. Put Katie Curic, or some other high level news person on the terrorist watch lists and not let her fly anymore and you will start to see change.

        The sheeple can scream until they are blue in the face, but until someone gets out there and really starts to talk about it nothing will happen.

    And thus why I am still confused as to why it hasn't happened yet. The FCC can issue an amendment exempting jails from the law, and providing FCC guided jammers.

    You don't even have to cover large areas, If you can jam say a 100 square meter area and provide damaging interference for another 100 meters then you are covering huge spots. They don't have to run 24/7 only when the inmates are in their cells. (they aren't going to talk on the phone while eating or working out in the yard as that is easy to spot.) So 2 jammers for every 400 odd meters of prison. That will work for most of the prisions, there are a few that won't work well for who might still get a partial signal.

    But what you want is a deterrent anyways. Make most of the phones useless and the smuggling lightens up.
