Last winter an 80 something year old woman went missing. In the spring a sailboat hit something where there shouldn't have been anything. Divers are called in to investigate, a car is found with the old woman still inside. She had driven around a guard house(in the winter the gates are up as few visit), around a building through a snow bank, did a u turn and backed into the water. The last two on the yard/tennis court, and through a small dock fence.
Some people get confused very easily. They can only trust one source of information and seldom it is their own eyes that get trusted first.
At my previous job the front of the building was trashed twice. When some old person put their car into forward instead of reverse and slammed on the gas instead of just going slowly. If you see a building where there are steel posts or a large curb between the parking and the building chances are some dumb schumck drove into the building at one point.
Can you identify a widget or program in a way that agrees with everyone as well.
how about a shortcut, link, or alias? Folder vs Directory?
App is just a new word. Apple has always used Apps as Windows used Programs. No one wrote programs for the Mac they wrote Applications. however it was sometimes referred to as programs as windows users crossed over.
Now Apple is popular. Their self contained applications have encompassed many traits. Since apple is popular, every one is copying them instead of paving a new path.
Step 1:Google seeds a randomized word and associates a link for that word into their search engine.
Step 2: Google employee searches Google for that word and up comes the random link
Step 3: Google employee searches Bing for the exact same word and up comes the same link.
There are no users or queried data. It isn't stacked. Google inserted a test word and link into the search engine that never has a result that equals one another and MSFT bing copied that result.
All christain church's believe that to one extant or another. Most of them won't admit it, But leave them in power long enough and it will happen. Look at the catholic church's response to pedophile priests. Priests were automatically assumed to be innocent because they were priests.
I personally have witnessed church politics and as such I now no longer attend. I stopped dating someone and the entire church turned their backs on me,
That was from one of the more liberal churches too.
I have the old unlimited plan and i routinely get more than 350mb a month. just visiting slashdot, ars, and two other tech news sites. no youtube, and very rarely an app download.
to pretend they weren't here first, and weren't divided into various states(groups of tribes), and counties(tribes) is a little bit deceiving. While nomadic they covered certain regions, and in several cases many small tribes came together in one giant tribe of tribes.
You are also forgetting that you maybe a citizen of the USA, but you are also a citzen of the state your in, and a citizen of the county your in, and a citizen of the city/town/village your in. Given the fact that 40% of the population moves to a new city at least once in their life I would say some are still nomadic in a modern sense.
Well that and the largest group of illegal immigrants work the farm fields at pick time. How many americans would work the $3 an hour required to keep the price of food reasonable? would you spend $4 an apple, peach or orange, would spend $15 for a quart of OJ?
American's are paid so much more than other area's that even minimum wage would shut many farms down.
In other words he needs situational awareness, that is very tough to get on a single monitor.
Personally I use my peripheral vision a lot. Playing Racing sims, and FPS games is tough because I can't see over my shoulder. I have been tempted for years to build a three monitor system to give me a little side to side views but there are so few games that support it well.
Um while that may be true in a broad context if you have a wi-fi only tablet and you want to access the internet then their ads would still have room to come down the pipe.
It is also possible to turn off the 3G and wifi in android.
It is much simpler than that. Tinkers like the slashdot crowd don't pay for apps unless they have too. they go I can do that, and then make some crude knock off 6 to 24 months later if they feel like it.
By catering to the tinkerer crowd google is cutting it's own throat on app sales. Why do you think that most downloaded apps for android include a decent web browser and keyboard software. Those should be basic apps that should have been done right at the beginning.
Apple however caters to the 90% of users who don't have time to waste on doing crappily themselves. While I can code my own apps, as well as fix my car, and rebuild a computer in my sleep. It isn't worth my time to do so.
Now having said that I am still waiting for a wifi only tablet. the iPad is close but I only want a 7" screen. Since google doesn't support the market place without 3G I guess i will have to code my own apps(tinker) as google doesn't care about me as a potential customer.
That's just it. something like 60% of all DUI and DWI offenses are for people who already have been arrested for that same thing. 50% of the population doesn't learn from their mistakes.
heck in just my home town in the last 3 months 4 people have been arrested at crashes scenes for DWI, while have no licenses because they lost them do to prior offenses.
How many times must some family die because you let some idiot drive drunk 5 times?
The speed of the transaction is limited to the speed of the connection between reader/credit Processor
My debit card transactions are just as fast as your NFC transactions because it only takes three seconds to swipe and enter the pin, as opposed to one second for a swipe. your still waiting 15-20 seconds for the credit processor and printer to finish up the transaction anyways.
In the USA most retailers have an agreement with the credit card companies that purchases under $30 don't need to be signed for. So all you have to do is swipe.
no it is the new slashcode. You click on one link and randomly another article or link will come up.
I have very nearly done it my self 2-3 times in the last few days.
Who ever designed the new slashdot went to MSFT's interface design school and was a good study. All sorts of random crap is happening, and we get to beta test it for them. Loading slashdot on my phone cuts off comments, articles, and both menu bars
an ATM saves a lot of time standing at a slow moving bank teller line.
However NFC chips don't actually save time. If you stop watch an NFC swipe versus a CC swipe you would realize your still waiting for the cashier(yes even the robotic ones) more than the transaction.
I have an RFID credit card, that I use occasionally. I have been randomly testing to see which is actually easier. In the end I might as well swipe the card as I still have to sign the receipt anyways, unless the company you are purchasing from has an approved small cash sale no signing required. Even if they do I still have to wait for the receipt to actually print.
Because if thebomber is the least bit nervous/skittish or simply gets bumped wrong then the bomb can go off early too.
As well the bombers themselves are partially brainwashed into killing themselves. You don't want them to have a last minute change of heart and get arrested(it has happened). Instead you put a trusted spotter on the bomber to make sure they are in place and you pull the trigger(or text) Remotely.
Even sucide bombers can change their mind at the last minute.
Except slashdot hasbeen at it for 3 years and every new version is slower and runs worse than the previous version. I dontknow about any one else but it is almost unusable on my phone now. Comments take 10-30 seconds to load, articles disappear. The side bar randomly vanishes and the icons no longer scale.
Sony is at least doing something useful with that power. Slashdot seems to need a quadcore phone LTE to load easily.
depends on if your talking about American's, chinese, or Europeans.
for some they keep on driving.

Well that and google made the chrome frame for IE. updateing IEE's poor javascript engine with something a bit more modern.

simple enough isn't it?
Try your settings. I don't have a slider for comment thresholds I have the old fashoined drop down mod box.
I am not sure which setting it is though

which is yet another reason why android marketplace is hurting.
i don't want to pay another $30 a month for more datacaps. Finding a wifi point is fairly easy even in small towns.
and every single one of them will void your warranty on the hardware.
Where are the HTC 2.3 ROMs? You know the ones that you don't lose your hardware warranty for installing?
Maybe if HTC only had 2 or 3 models they could work to make at least one of them good, and update on a regular basis.

If you get paid $50k a year your employer is paying close to $70k to keep you as an employee.
or do you think that health insurance, workers comp, 401k, etc are all magically free?
unless you dated them or one of your friends were dating them and the break up was messy.
personally I am not narcissistic enough for a facebook account.
