This is a disturbing concept. I've learned much of what I know about web development from 'reverse-engineering' other people's code, and I like to think others have picked up some stuff from me. It's a pretty vital part of the learning process, call it learning by example if you will.
It's very disappointing to see this continuing trend of money>creativity.
"he finally managed to cram in the motherboard from a 466 MHz Graphite Power Mac he bought on eBay for $600, a $400 1.4 GHz overclocked G4 upgrade card, 768 MB RAM, a 100 GB hard drive, an ATI 8500 video card and a CD-RW/DVD optical drive"
He needn't have bothered. Most mac users don't care what's inside the box anyway.
Are there any actually funny web comics? I've read many different sites and by and large, they're just NOT FUNNY. Penny Arcade, Homestarrunner, real life etc. can be occasionally vaguely witty but never actually lol funny.
Do any of you actually laugh out loud when reading web comics, and if so which ones?
I recently got a spam email with a huge list of emails in the To: field. Then shortly after I got an email from one of the other spammees, to EVERYONE on the list, telling us the previous email was spam and how irresponsible it was of them to have all the emails on full display.
That Mac users use Macs because they want to use a Mac, rather than any performance benefits over a PC. They have specific needs regarding applications etc they feel are best served by a mac, and they're willing to pay extra for it.
Which is cool.
Does anyone else think the whole tedious Mac vs PC argument is a bit like comparing apples to oranges (excuse pun)?
Look:
600Mhz iMac: £650 min
600Mhz PC: About £400, if you can even buy a new 600Mhz Pc, and that's with the usual crappy 32MB gfx, pissy amount of ram and mediocre disk space of the iMac.
Macs ARE more expensive than PCs. Walk into a computer shop - they're usually sat fairly close to each other.
Mac zealots: You can say Macs are superior hardware by all means, but at least accept you pay more for the privilege.

Fucking bang on. Parent speaks the truth.
Parent has a point, mod him back up.
Look at the INTV (which was an April Fools joke, btw). Look at Windows. Now do you see? DO YOU?
I've been trying to find Buckaroo Banzai to download for months, with no joy. Anyone any ideas?

Controversial!
You've got a lot of nerve coming out with stuff like that.
They can test their own fucking software. Let me know when it's finished.
Maybe your parents are just dullards?
The moral of the story is don't use nudy wallpaper on a works computer.

I thought to myself, what a knobjockey.
Very well said.
Have a ghetto candy.

I agree. This all smacks of desperation on Apple's part.

Poor lady.
Well I wouldn't worry about it. It's at -1 already so nobody is going to fucking read it.
It's called running a successful company. You don't get 60% or so of the browser market and say "Woo, that was fun. Let's leave it at that eh?".
And your point is?
Don't be so hard on yourself, I thought your comments were just great.
Are you talking to me or what?
I wasn't being sarcastic.
This article was actually useful and free from bias.
/.?
Could this be the end of
And I would have had FP if I hadn't fucked up my reply. Which is ironic, if you think about it.
