    I have never seen "Talking to Americans," but I can only assume that it is a "humorous" show whose content centers around the fact that Americans are dumb.

    How can I assume this? Because Canadians are obsessed with comparing themselves to Americans, and, whenever applicable (read: always), making themselves appear better than Americans!

    First, you're taking about the Great Compromise, and slaves were counted as three-fifths of a person, not five-eighths. Second, the Electoral College was established because the Founding Fathers believed the general populace to not have good enough judgement to elect a person to such an important position; this is also why senators were originally chosen by state legislatures and no by direct election.

    Perhaps it is you who needs to read a history book.
