Proprietary does not mean bad. Unless you're a socialist slashbot; then it's the worst thing in the world, because it means someone wants to make a profit with the proprietary product.
Isn't it dangerous for these code snippets to be out in the public? What if something from one of them is accidentally included in an open source project; SCO might then have a legit claim.
The ESA will never reach the heights that NASA reached 40 years ago. It's a well known fact that European universities just don't have the same level of engineering programs that can be found in any good public college in the US. When you add MIT, Cornell, Cal Tech, and other great private schools, Europe seems about as mature as Linux against NT.
I'm not a racist, but I know this much: niggers are stupid and smell bad and are more violent than polar bears (the only animal that will attack without reason!).
Exactly. People think a monopoly is a company that has command of the market share, but in reality Microsoft is only as large as it is because it has produced a superior product.
Our strong tradition of capitalism means that the people can choose for themselves what needs to be produced and who needs to produce it. We've had plenty of time for strong infastructure and health care to arise privately.
I agree with you that public health care and public monopolies on water and electricity are bad things, but once the Iraqis are on their feet, these things can be privatized, resulting in the cheapest, best service for consumers.
Wow. That's just great. It's a shame that Apple will never be able to compete with the speed of Pentium 4s, though.
2.0 GHz? That technology is what, two and a half years old in Pentium 4s? Come on Apple, time to play catch up.
Also, OS X is great for beginners, but even my four year old needs more power and flexability from an operating system than this OS can provide. It's pretty but non-functional, which is a shame.
HAHAHA. Trying to claim your arguements were just you trolling. What an idiot you are.
Vlad, is that you?
You're so fucking dumb.
What are the laws regarding software patents in the US?
Comparing the US's "human rights violations" to China's human right violations is an insult to every Chinese citizen.
You're so fucking dumb.
Not if you're a socialist, though. Then the government's job is to baby you throughout life.

What is false about his statement?

How did this website get an interview with Greg Maddux?
Who wants children to have easy access to porn, and even more disturbingly, access to child porn?
It seems to be the RIAA is only doing the public a service here.
The grandparent is modded up but the parent is modded down? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
I knew Slashdot was overrun by socialists, but this is a little fucking bit much.

Coffee is hot. She knew this. It should have been thrown out before it reached the courtroom.
Of course the Nordic countries would promote Open Source software; it fits right in line with their strong Marxist governmental policies.
Our strong tradition of capitalism means that the people can choose for themselves what needs to be produced and who needs to produce it. We've had plenty of time for strong infastructure and health care to arise privately.

But... the American government is evil! They are STIFLING free speech in its own country! This doesn't follow logic!
WHY would the ENCOURAGE free speech and exchange of free ideas in any case?!?!
UNBELIVEABLE!
This seems like a good way to scare developers away from Linux completely.
Too bad Gary Sheffield is going to win the MVP.
Sheff's Chefs forever, bitch.
