My real problem with paying for on-line gaming, is that it in no way guarantees that you can play online. If noone else has your game, has moved onto something else or just doesn't want to play your subscription is worthless.

For me the end score is completely useless. What matters is *why* they give that score. Was it too easy? Was it repetitive? Is there not enough character development? Does the story suck? etc etc.
For example one game may get 80% because of awseome gameplay and a crap story. Another game might get 80% because of an awesome story but broken gameplay. All I need to know is which is which so I can make a choice based on my preferences.
Halo 3 is a good example. Multiplayer isn't important for me. If I had just gone off the review scores you would assume it is a must buy. But after reading the reviews about the so so single player, I am able to give it a miss.
Don't let it get you down. As far as fads for the bored masses to concentrate on goes, having them worry about the environment is not a bad thing. At the end of the day the cleaner the earth is the better for all.
Remember there are a lot of people on earth, life is easy and there isn't much to do. By all means let them clear up the air a little bit.

And you do realise that your PC isn't a big hardware copyright protection mechanism? The point is that there are several organisations that would like to make it one.
I disagree that everything has a cost in this context. That is microsoft speaking. Most people dick around so much at their jobs day by day that any time taken to learn something new easily just eats away into this down time.
If they didn't have to struggle to learn some new software they would just be on-line reading slashdot or something similar. The only real cost is what you pay for something, cost for time spent is just an illusion for those people who try to pretend people work at 100% efficiency, 100% of the time.
- Internet providers block all traffic on the old bt protocol as movie/music studios embrace the new protocol and the old one is deemed by the powers above to only be used by pirates/terrorists etc
You might also wonder why the order didn't set up one big pisser of an ambush by all getting ready in a circle, then saying 'voledemort' to summon death eaters to their doom?
Anyway yes the time turners were destroyed at the end of ootp, but it might just have been worthwhile to use one, go into the hedge at the end of gof and say to harry and cedric 'hold on a sec, best not to touch that cup'.
It is Harry Potter. You are not supposed to think about it, just enjoy it.
If you start to think about it, you might come up with questions like:
* Why didn't they keep using the time turner thing to go back in time to save people?
* Why didn't the bad guys use the same?
* Sure luck potion takes 6 months to make, but surely someone could have gone to a bit of effort? They spent a lot of time sitting around doing nothing...
