Being a college student in St. Louis, it's probably safe to assume that what you were drinking was Dimitrov Vodka (spelling?). It's the local isopropyl-in-a-vodka-bottle they sell to unsuspecting college students for about $6 for 1.75 L.
I seem to remember another game that Rare was going to include this functionality with via the Game Boy camera attachment. I think it might have been Perfect Dark? But anyway, Colombine happened, and they decided against letting kids put their friends' faces in a video game and then proceed to blow them apart.
IIRC, isn't this against most games' EULAs? I know it was mentioned earlier that Sony went after people selling their EQ stuff on EBay. Wouldn't these "associates" have their games accounts banned?
The lead scientist is a professer at Washington University in St. Louis. There is more info at the university's web site. It turns out there was more than a jawbone found, but the rest of the bones haven't been analyzed yet.
I think that this whole "X-2" thing is a sellout. There was clamor from fans a little while back asking for a remake/direct sequel of FF7, at which time Square said they would NEVER do a remake/direct sequel of a Final Fantasy game (i.e. same story, etc). However, then came the FF movie... and a HUGE loss for Square. They're still recovering. They must have said, "Hmmm, how can we make $$ from diehard fans?" Anyway, any FF fan knows that it shoulda been FF7 that got the sequel.
This isn't a repeat of the earlier/. post. That one linked to security focus and this one links to business week. But the business week article is just a reprint of the security focus article...
It say that the Navy found some hard drives with 100s and 1000s of copyrighted files on them. It never says if the students had a right to have those files... I have 1000s of "copyrighted" files on my hdd in the form of mp3s, which I obtained by buying the CDs and then ripping them...

A story about a game called Tales of the Desert, submitted by *SANDY*99. This may be one of the secrets of ancient Egypt...
Conker's Bad Fur Day was NOT by Miyamoto. CBFD was put out by Rare, not Nintendo.
