    If you have that stringent of views on it, then it certainly seems to matter to you. "News that matters" doesn't mean "things we agree with." If there is something that you strongly disagree with, but is being bandied about, that still matters to you.

    Now those, I can agree with more. ;) It's really going to depend on a number of variables that I don't know then - how quickly do the cells fall off as a fucntion of light intensity, how much margin do they have with charging time, how far north are we talking, etc.

    What the hell does wether precipitation comes down as snow or rain have to do with anything, genius? Cold != cloud-cover, neccessarily. In the winter, in a temperate climate, it can often be the opposite, actually.

    It's not baloney, sorry. The tilt-a-whirl is a related, but slightly different cause (something about that much spinning and your inner ear). Why would one, slightly different cause negate the other. And it isn't just non-motion-sickness sufferers. The Tilt-A-Whirl is simply too much, but that soultion does help for dnacers.

    I, in fact, don't think they should, but if they could (as claimed, which I doubt), quadruple their profits, then it may or may not be a wise decision, depending on how much they have to sell, and their faith (or lack of) in the long term viablity of the business.

    *rolls eyes* University physics are a superset. I was pointing out that one needed only the far more insignificant, and hopefully better known, subset of junior-high level physics, in this case. What I learned about gyroscopic effects in Uni certainly reinforces this, not cancels it. What, exactl,y suoper-secret University physcis classes were you in that suddenly overturned gyroscopic effects?

    As for opening all their records - BULLSHIT. They sued a couple who was publicizing how you could get your name removed from the Church records. The think only your Bishop should be able to know this. God forbid it be easy to leave the Chruch without the discretion or hassling of your Bishop. If he doesn't want to let you leave, you shouldn't be able to. The Church has a long history of keeping layers upon layers of secrets. The higher in the heirarchy you go, the more you know.

    It's already soaring, making it hard to call after the fact. People could argue it is more of the same, even it it picked up some, and if it doesn't they'll decree the OSS security model, regardless of proof to the contrary. Apache v. IIS, anyone? Anyways, we're still busy figuring out exactly what code is involved, and what the ramifications of that distinction are.

    My only point was that it wasn't as cut and dried as it seems upon first examination. And I certainly say it sarcastically. I've actually discussed this one in-depth with reasonably intelligent linguistics post-grads at my school, so it is obviously not THAT much of a reach.
