Everyone should be asked to read the whole act at least once in their lives. Most people would be surprised how much stuff the government *couldn't* do that just made sense before hand.
No kidding. But with a name like Patriot Act, most wouldn't bother to go beyond the title. After all, how can something called the Patriot Act be bad?
Soon we will all be augmented by our extra brain bags! Organic computers in a purse that we either wear or have implanted in our abdomens. I can't wait for the beta test
Not even that. That stuff will get added in during editing. And believe me, pretending to have a conversation, but actually just flapping your gums and gesticulating without saying anything feels really weird at first.
It simply means it's keeping oxygen from reaching the base of the fire. Temperature has nothing really to do with it.
Not quite. Here's an excerpt from the PDF:
Q. If Novec 1230 performs as well as you say, explain why it is not a "drop-in" for halons?
A. Novec 1230 and halons are different and their physical properties require different delivery system design. Also, a high-boiling liquid like Novec 1230 protection will behave differently than low-boiling gases like the halons. While both Novec 1230 and the halons perform effectively at their respective design concentrations, their extinguishing mechanisms differ. Novec 1230 is a physically-acting agent cooling the fuel to extinguishment, whereas the halons inhibit the combustion chain reaction to extinguish a fire.
"The three parties named will subdivide the land, under the supervision of the Inspector, among themselves and such others as may choose to settle near them, so that each family shall have a plot of not more than (40) forty acres of tillable ground, and when it borders on some water channel, with not more than 800 feet water front, in the possession of which land the military authorities will afford them protection, until such time as they can protect themselves, or until Congress shall regulate their title."
If we one day live in virtual worlds, I wonder if the physical sovereignty of nations will become less important.
Someone actually wrote a post that included that very concern. It was some type of timeline about data globules and such. Unfortunately I don't remeber the article it was written under, and/.'s search engine is teh suX0r5. I can tell you how it ends though: everyone dies, i.e. some guy's coumputer running *nix powered by a fusion reactor keeps printing on screen: "Why did we bother!"
Well, if anyone know where this post actually is, feel free to let me know.
Cray sold a computer to a company I worked for, for the sum of (raises finger to mouth) ONE POUND. Bwahahaha.
And £99'999.999,00 shipping and handling!

Welcome to the market. You either have to have a better product, brilliant marketing, an army of lawyers, or a simple monopoly.
Sounds like a new pokemon/rock-paper-scissors.
You think what? But you don't think what?
Let me try:
kerry > bush while someone_else > kerry
Cows don't use Fiber!
I know!! They eat grass day in and day out! They get all the fiber they need!!!
Hey, "gotta be a winner" is wrong....
"A WINNER IS YOU" is correct!
obligatory simpsons quote:
Toy pinball machine: "Ha Ha Ha! You a winna!! Ha Ha Ha! You a winna!! Ha Ha Ha! You a winna!!"

Sounds like eXistenZ
I've been waiting for Duke Nukem Forever for weeks now.
Hmph! I've been waiting mere nanoseconds!
... Dracula vs. Wolfman on childcare.
No way! Flying Shark vs. Flying Crocodile is way cooler! Questions will be asked and destroyed! By answers!!
... and mapped surface textures and minerals all over Mars...
About time! for too long Mars has been a flat-shaded sphere.
They had to. id needed those textures for Doom 3.
Will they allow PDA's there, or will they be mandatory?
I see you haven't played Doom 3 yet. ^_^
I propose that possession of carbon be banned.
Then what would become of Inanimate Carbon Rod?
Is it happy? Can we taunt it?
Is it fun? Will it suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds? Should we discontinue use if we encounter the following symptoms:
*Itching
*Vertigo
*Dizziness
*Tingling in extremities
*Loss of balance or coordination
*Slurred speech
*Temporary Blindness
*Profuse sweating
*Heart Palpitations
Inquiring minds want to know. And knowing is half the battle.
Celine Dion is our weapon of mass destruction!
So, I take it you are familiar with the Minmay/Minmei defense.
...so extras are ussually background noise.
Not even that. That stuff will get added in during editing. And believe me, pretending to have a conversation, but actually just flapping your gums and gesticulating without saying anything feels really weird at first.
Not that you'd get very far ingesting a gallon of anything toxic.
Tom & Jerry did it. It just might work!
^_^
It's called GIGO.
...leave the typos at home
He is at home, you insensitive clod!!
That's why they should be compared to PADDs, not tricoreders.
The PADD was he ST PDA.

Sweet, next thing you know we'll have this. Bring it on.
Yes, I realize all this. However I was responding to the post indicating that this was not in any historical document.
This is not recorded anywhere in any historical document. This is a legend that has been passed on over the years.
If it is a legend then I don't know what to make of this:
From Order by the Commander of the Military Division of the Mississippi, January 15, 1865:
"The three parties named will subdivide the land, under the supervision of the Inspector, among themselves and such others as may choose to settle near them, so that each family shall have a plot of not more than (40) forty acres of tillable ground, and when it borders on some water channel, with not more than 800 feet water front, in the possession of which land the military authorities will afford them protection, until such time as they can protect themselves, or until Congress shall regulate their title."
Nothing about mules, but still...
