OSDL got greedy. They should've respected Bitmover, and be glad with what they had. It's just IP Theft. Just because you don't like the rules doesn't give you the right to break the rules, and that is basically what is wrong with all you FOSS zealots.
Let's all try to come up with a formula for productivity!
I'm taking 5 working days of 8 hours as a basis. So if you work 4,5 days on work, and 4hours on other things, you spent 90% of your time on work. If you do do overtime, it's possible to be more than 100% effective. However, everything over the 40h base takes a hit (Po) of... say.. factor 0.9
Wgj = The % time you spend on getting the work that needs to be done, done. 100% means you can dedicate all of your time to your goal
Wos = the % time you need to dedicate to basic OS tasks. Booting, Rebooting, opening Apps, renaming files, waiting on mem swaps. We assume that the system is fully prepped, but minor tweaks should go in here
Wup = the % of time you spend on doing things you shouldn't really do, but make your life easier, or less annoying: updates, virus scans, spam and malware removal
Wgo = the % of time you spend goofing off: solitaire, coffee machine, slashdot
Critical Mass being every site with a sufficiently high pagerank
A more interesting question really is:
If a certain Search Engine's database is polluted because of a loophole in it's ranking system, and users of that search engine are hindered, is it not their responsibility to make sure this doesn't happen?
Is this not 'Passing the buck' or better, 'Jamming the Tag down Throat' to people with bonafide message boards which suffer under the Mass of the almighty Google?
people spam comment boards on sites with high pageranks. Goolge's logic here is: If a high-ranked site links to site X, X's ranking also gets higher. If your site is spam/ad-ridden, this is step 3. Profit!
With rel=nofollow in place, this tactic no longer works. No Revenues -> No reason to spam
Slashdot is too American-Centr...

oh wait, erm

Is it just me, or does 'Appeal' sound a whole lot like 'Apple' ?
Hey, I blogged something about Google Talk too. Can I be on the slashdot frontpage now? *end sarcasm*

So we would get to something like:
Productivity = (Wgj - Wos - Wup - Wgo) + (Wgj - Wos - Wup - Wgo)*Po
"Free and/or OSS community/ies"
woops, misread that as 'commies'

well, it does, kinda

QED
You're American?
;-)
CV is, where I live, the commonly used term for it. We have a history in which language and culture is relevant
'Resume' on the other hand is what you do after you pause a task and want to 'un-pause'. You're looking for a "Résumé", which is french for summary.
If you asked for them, I bet a lot of people would send you a note saying
"Sacreblue! We are not in ze France, Hon Hon!!!"
I propose the use of 'Career Summary' as a valid American English alternative.
