If you go to 2600's website, you can get an mp3 of the last show here. Adrian Lamo was present and spoke about a few things. Also, check the archives, he was on the show previously.
I got the basic 12" iBook for $1099. I'm very impressed. I really should have gone with more RAM but it is still very usable. The combination of a *nix back end plus a streamlined UI is very satifisying to work in.
I've been using Linux for a couple of years and it is quite a change in how you interact with the system. Things seem to "just work", unlike in Linux where I always had to configure it first.
This is exactly why I haven't bothered with DVD burners yet. I'll wait (forever if I have to) until all the major manufactures involved get it together and support a common format.
Create a large file in windows, then boot linux and mount said file as a '-o loop', then you can format the file and read/write to it as a mounted device.
Actually, you just have to quit buying toys. For example, I recently picked up a 1/18 scale Losi Mini-T. It's just a smaller version of their 1/10 scale truck. Fully proportional stearing, electronic speed control, etc. Mine will go about 20MPH (No, it's not stock).
Why do you assume there was't many killed? The article dosn't mention anything about it. If the explosion was as big as they claim, i'd say that a lot of people got killed.
You should check the article again:
"Farewell stayed secret because the blast in June 1982, estimated at three kilotons, took place in the Siberian wilderness, with no casualties known."
Oh and I wouldn't recommend you stand around in your spawn for too long. Most players have figured out exactly where and at what angle to fire mortars into opposing spawn areas.
Did you know that if you press 'G' when you launch a mortar, the map will pop up and a target will appear where the mortar hit? It makes it very easy to pinpoint the enemy spawn.
Besides, Chevy now sells a car it calls "Impala" that's Front wheel drive, V-6, 4-door sedan. In 1964 it was a v-8 rear drive 2-door coupe, sedan or convertible. Does that mean the new Impala really isn't an impala at all?
You're comparing apples and oranges here. If Chevy told you the car you're purchasing has a 230 HP V8 and they actually deliver a 230HP V6, then that is misleading. Whether or not they perform the same. The customer is purchasing one thing and receiving a different thing.
To try and justify why it's "okay" to download movies. If you want a copy for backup purposes, do it yourself with dvd::rip. Dvd::rip is the fastest and easiest way to burn DVDs to CD-ROM on Linux anyways. Don't remember what I used in Windows, but it wasn't as easy as dvd::rip.
As the article on Newsforge states. The problem is when you want to develop commercial applications with QT you have to buy a license. With GNOME there is no need to purchase a license to develop commercial applications.
That would be funny... if CTRL+ALT+DEL would actually cause a reboot in GNOME, but it won't. In fact, it won't do anything at all.
and he could just get her an iBook. Sheesh. Yeah, yeah, I know, at this point I get modded as flamebait.

I bought my Apple iBook yesterday.
Seems that I'm already patched... Move on!

Do you really think the company would say that people don't like the ads? Doesn't sound unusual at all.
CD Burning.

Regarding ntfs write support, you can only write to existing files and you can't change the size of the file.
I sucked at Enemy Territory with a wired optical. Then, I bought (for $60) a Logitech MX 700 wireless optical mouse.
... I still suck.

Yes, that is true. However, the article doesn't really need pictures for you to understand what the writer is talking about.
A google cache link is available here.

Why don't you stop copying other's comments? You're not the first to say it.
It's called Cheapbytes.

Yeah, it's called get a life loser. Go hump a tree.
It is actually quite simple:
QT = $$$$
GNOME = Free
