    Yes, Pan is pretty cool and can do elaborate filtering and does groups a whole hell of a lot better than thunderbird.

    I switched back to the mozilla suite because of UI and interoperability problems with thunderbird and firefox and because it handles groups a bit better.

    Webboard recently hosed their handling of newsgroups and Pan can no longer post to it so I had to get something and Mozilla suite was it.

    Any small card game, you'd be surprised how well Steve Jackson's games go over. They are small and portable and fun.

    I used a Logitech wide palm shaped mouse for years and did not start having pain till they stopped making it and came out with the narrow bar of soap on. It needs to be as wide as your palm so your hands don't fold and you should do better.

    And with a scanner you can read those chicken scratchs.

    What is the densest barcoding? I think that Xerox has it, it's bizarre but it will scan using a scanner or CCD based reader just fine. It can even be read easily by taking a picture of it and it prints well using most any printing process.

    Used Damn Small Linux make sure it has the dos tools. Set up the device to be bootable or to use a boot disk.
    Boot it.
    At this point you can just wipe the drive and install linux :-P
    Or you can mount the dos drive and copy the files over.

    My 120 gig Maxwhore drive died but I was still able to recover my unbacked up information using some tools it had. I was quite amazed at being able to recover them.

    I have a stack of CDs, USB drives and pseudo mirror over the net.

    These folk seem to do good work. This can run up to 14MHZ but at 1MHZ draws 330 microamp and is 16bits.
